I've just heard about it. As a veteran ghost hunter, I'm determined to find her. Does anyone have any experiences with her they'd be willing to share?
The Ghost of Crook's Hollow
@wolfmanbush I thought I saw the shadow of someone standing on my mast after completing a treasury but as soon as I turned to look at the water it was mysteriously gone. It's almost as though I made a mistake in what I saw. But I'm thinking now it was just another ghost.

I listen to music when I play and play off visuals and instincts as I can barely hear anything in the game.
I don't watch the horizon for ships I just roll with it lol. Whatever happens happens
I don't like being on edge so I treat sea ghosts like spiders, if they aren't giving me any trouble I just let 'em be and go about my business. Maybe they like Hotel California as much as I do.
@wolfmanbush I also treat them like spiders. I get waaaaaaay up in their business and find out if they're safe for my kitties before leaving them alone.
@Musicmee I'm not familiar with this term, "Larry". What is a Larry? I would like to try the sacrifice. But I'm going to be back on the high seas looking for the ghost of Crook's Hollow again soon. It's been some time since I've appeased the Whale Lord. Perhaps if I do both I will have some luck.
Only tip i can give you is that after the last "sighting" ever recorded and people stopped reporting seeing it, every midnight in game since then on crooks hollow some very strange sounds can be heard, and unlike the cry of the kraken at 3am, this sound is only on crooks hollow. So keep your ears open!

@goldsmen I've been taking my phasmophobia skills to the game in search of her. I've sacrificed many spotted chickens in what I've determined to be the ghost's favored room. I've also realized that her name is in fact, not the bald lady and that this misnomer may even be offensive. Going by the naming convention of SoT, I believe she must begin with either an A or a G.
It appears to me that she was a victim of a ritual sacrifice as depicted in her "favorite room". So she must be an ancient, which would make me think her name begins with A. However, since she is a ghost as well it's possible that they gave her a name begining with G. I'm still reviewing my footage for sightings. I haven't seen her while playing. But if I see her in the footage, it would support a theory I've been cooking up.

You see, there are a few things about her that stand out to me. Firstly, it seems like she's bound to Crook's Hollow. The other phantasms of SoT seem to be capable of being in multiple places at once or to teleport around at will. Yet she is only seen in this one location. So I believe that she can't leave. Furthermore, it's very suspicious that she only seems to appear to content creators and what's more, only in hindsight. What possible reason for that could there possibly be????? It probably isn't because she was a hoax. I laugh in the face of Occam and his pitiful saber. No, the most likely answer is that she can only be seen on camera. These two facts are enough to conclude that she is, in fact, a goryo. Goryos are bound to their place of death. It also just so happens that "goryo" starts with a g.
Another very crucial piece of evidence is that I've been setting up a log book in her favorite room every time and she hasn't written in the book a single time. Therefore, we can safely rule out Ghost Writing.
