It's been the healthiest adventure pvp I've ever seen so far.
a lot more "good sport" stuff going on as far as gg's after
The random scenarios are awesome.
I pick up a piece and a duo sloop heads at me turns out and goes for the other, they are hesitant in combat so they are playing the long game, playing it safe (nothing wrong with this at all)
but I don't chase so I take my piece and put it in a tough spot on dagger tooth and I play a game of defend dagger tooth. They try to avoid naval combat and I eventually let them grab it and I give them some space. Then we play cat and mouse at snake island and they do what they should have done, ram strat the island after they find her and put pressure on me while one turns it in.
That's what is fun about it. That's a huge win for them, it puts me in a spot of doing what I don't typically do, which is interesting and everyone ggs and white flares and goes about their day.
The comms aren't ultra grindy so people can just have fun with it.
The sails are from the digs so the cosmetics that will be used the most are realistic for even people that are avoiding a lot of the pvp.
If it's someone that I can tell is struggling to get these done I'm not gonna turn it in and if it's a bunch of sweaty mcsweatertons I'm not realistically gonna get more than a few of those as a solo anyway. It's just for fun, I'll get my comms during the lucky rng servers.
Works great for me because it's organic play, it fits into all the other things I do, I can meg hunt while doing it, I can help out the inexperienced players get it turned in. It literally just adds to the environment without taking anything from anyone.
