(Visual customization) Teeth for our pirates

  • Hello! I have a small suggestion on the visual component of the character.
Remembering all kinds of creativity on the pirate theme, several things come to mind, namely:
Epic naval battles, flaming ships, seasoned pirates in chic hats and often with false gold teeth.
But really, in the same beloved "Pirates of the Caribbean" Captain Jack had several false teeth. Also a lot of art draws pirates with a sly grin, glittering with gold!

I propose a small new customization in the likeness of an eye patch or a hook, namely a false tooth!
    Options for obtaining:
Different teeth can be represented by factions, for example: Gold holders will give gold teeth, the trade union - silver or copper, the order of souls - carved from bone.
Or if you don't get attached to the factions, you can provide them as goods at the outpost.

How can this be implemented? for pirates with knocked-out teeth, it seems to me that everything is simple, I think that in appearance there is data on which teeth are missing and it can be used. But with perfect teeth it is more difficult. It is wrong to deprive people of this visual and you can come up with a replacement for either some specific teeth, or give everything into the hands of fortune, as with the old curse of gold holders of complete randomness, which would make such teeth unique.

It will also simplify the task of choosing the appearance for many people, associated with the inability to see the teeth in most poses in the tavern.

    Thanks for your attention!

I think it will be without inscriptions, but it's funny)
At the moment there is nothing that would "fix" the teeth, except for a handkerchief in the beard slot, which is depressing considering the shortcomings in IPG

  • @zig-zag-ltu I can’t see the picture but I have a funny feeling it’s that one of the female pirate holding out the blunderbuss facing the camera cheesy smiling. Am I right? 🤣

  • @tesiccl Its actually from a movie How high with Methodman and Redman. :D

  • @zig-zag-ltu lol that’s funnier ngl, imagine the reference they could do. “I need Doubloons” xD

  • @amsedillir My pirate has teeth, maybe you need to spend more time in the pirate generator? 😉

  • @foambreaker
I spent a lot of time there. Alas, IPG is a very exhausting system if you want to get a specific type of face without scars and with a specific physique. I literally periodically spent 4 hours on it, after which I closed the game without the desire to play.
Also, the situation is aggravated by the fact that in a large number of poses you cannot see the "grin" of the character, and in this case you are literally playing roulette: lucky or not.
    Т_Т

  • @amsedillir Yup all of that, I was just messing with you. IPG is so unfriendly.

I'm ok with the design concept and the idea that pirates are imperfect but the tool could use some features. Gender selection, pose, seeing the pirates in underwear, or our current clothing and also couldn't they be in a line so we don't have to run in circles over and over?

  • custom teeth, i like this idea!

  • @foambreaker To be honest, even the same banal choice of gender would have greatly simplified the task.
Or the possibility of a "smart" selection of fixed pirates, but there is already a twofold situation, someone may be hindered by what will be selected more in the likeness of fixed ones.

But again, flaws have ways to close them: the eye can be hidden either with a bandage or a curse of the order of souls, literally everyone's hands are whole and if you want, you can add a hook that hides without problems, scars can be hidden with clothes in most cases. As a result, it remains impossible to correct teeth, which theoretically is easy to correct, and a crooked nose, but to be honest, I haven't seen the latter so often.
