Maybe even weave It into quest board. If you make a forum tab to do them. Some people don't bother with external community of SoT, like Discord, let alone forums. Not to mention It's not a good Idea to put all your eggs into one basket.
In-Game guild recruitment board.
That could be a cool idea. I could see a guild ship spawning in for a recruiting session and starting off with a visit to the quest board to post their guild crest, accompanied by the name, numbers and level. Could make it very easy to see right off the bat what guilds are around which could lead to many possibilities for interaction.
I could also see some being concerned about the kind of randomers who would join but a proper guild owner could nip any of those issues in the bud by removing problematic members, as is their responsibility.

When you are in a guild, you have an extra emote to let people join the guild...does that help maybe?
@schwammlgott I know the emote exists. That's not what this post is about. It's about an advertisement board for guilds, so if someone wants to join a guild they would need to just go to a place on an outpost, not Discord, Forums or anywhere else.

Ok, sorry, missunderstood that (english not my native)
Anything efficient and helpful for guilds in-game will help.
Imo guilds should have always prioritized networking for those outside of the social networks. Without that being the priority it becomes heavy on top with all the clique activity around, without having a strong foundation for connecting players without connections.
In-game would be fun for the more casual play, that imo is where guilds can succeed as far as community goes.
@wolfmanbush yes, not to mention they seem so underbaked for what they try to accomplish, no way to communicate with other guid members in-game, outside joining their crew, no way to pin discord server invite, etc. To me It seems like guids were just a way to get all loot emmisary outside Reaper's Bones, even if It doesn't give the same reward.
@mutedgoddess we are recruiting for Valkyries Destiny on sea of thieves. The owner has disabilities but is a highly intelligent individual. She is looking for members who are active and helpful
@fatcat3394 yea as much as I hate to say it I think Open Crew may be what the in game option is that being said guild finders in games are rare I only see them in big MMO RPGs like ESO, but hey it could be nice that and add a little more guild ranks for finer control
