So, today I hopped on Sea of Thieves with my friend after a long day with boring school work, and we did open crew brig to spice things up. We decided to do the 2 Order of Souls voyages I had to both help my friend get Pirate Legend and to pay for a photo shoot I had him do for me, and that's a whole other short story that I may share, but it's boring. So my friend and I hopped on my brig with a random who we'll call R1, and he was cool, with an attire I rated 9/10 and said a pet could improve it cuz pets make everything better. We sailed and got through the first voyage quickly cuz it was only 2 islands with a total of 7 captains to kill. Unfortunately, R1 left and then we voted on the second voyage, and I went to look at the things and my brain made the dial up internet sound and I said to my friend to not look at the quest radial, but he did and saw the 8 islands we needed ti hit with 3-4 captains each, and I had to leave in like 20 minutes. We marked the map with the islands we needed to go to, with some help from the interactive map cuz we couldn't find half the islands. We went to the first island, which was snake island, and it was bountiful with already some treasures on the shore. Then another random joined who we'll call R2, and he looked cool. Mid-fight we heard a jingle jangle of coins, an ancient skeleton has spawned. I rushed to kill it with my blunderbuss, but it needed to be reloaded, but R2 came through and shot that skeleton right in the dome with an obsidian sniper, giving us 144 ancient coins each. We finished that island, got the treasures aboard the ship, but R2 accidentally brought 2 kega on board, and I properly disposed of them, then he left, ans I saw like 4 more kegs there. I disposed of one while my friend got another one. I dumped it off the back and shot it when it was far enough, but my friend decided to drop his keg off the front of the ship, causing the other 2 to go off, killing him, and I died laughing while saying, "What was the thought process?" And he told me that as soon as he dropped it he knew he messed up, and I heard in my head the meme that was like "it was at this moment that he knew. He bleep up." We fixed the ship, got to the island, but it was time for me to leave, so I put my items in the barrels, and wished him good luck on the journey cuz he would be bye himself, in a brig, and was a grade 4 Order of Souls emissary at that point, then I told him no more kegs. I then sent off using a cannon and somehow managed to leave the game right before hitting the water.
I'm still questioning his thought process 30 minutes later. And I don't regret not playing Stranded Deep today!
