The Eternum of Sea of Thieves

  • This is my first post here. However I have played Sea of Thieves for quite some time now. I truly hope that Rare continues working on Sea of Thieves and doesn’t toss it to the wayside as many developers have done in the past. This game is truly a masterpiece that is fun for all ages. My daughter (2 years old now) is enthralled with the game anytime I play it. I truly hope this game continues for the many years to come as I’m sure my daughter and I have many tales and voyages ahead of us. So if anything this is a plea to Rare. Please don’t give up on the game. Continue to expand its beautiful world. Perhaps expand the map if it becomes a possibility with many new things to do. Much love from this Salty Sea Pirate.

  • We don't know what business decisions go on behind the scenes but it's clear they are very committed to the game. The work put into the lore content alone is a strong indicator of how committed they are to the game, long term.

Life is unpredictable and experiences are temporary but it appears as if you and your daughter will have at least a few more years of sea to enjoy.

Embracing and appreciating every day and all of the opportunity within it (as you appear to be doing) makes it all worth it, even though it will eventually end. The moments gathered and remembered will allow it to live on in some way for decades to come.

    Welcome

  • @kewaya There are games that have been going strong for a long time and I don't see SoT wrapping things up anytime soon. The initial plan for the game was a 10 year development post launch but I think they'll extend way beyond that. You and your daughter will have plenty of time to play and make memories, hopefully sail together, that would be awesome! The seas are too rich and with no game that competes with SoT, they're free to do as they please.
