Yes, the delay with Season 10 (to October 19th) sucks, but I'm really looking forward to whatever is in the future of the game. I have one suggestion that has nothing to do with gameplay or code, and may seem such a silly thing for me to think of right away:
Could you please make sure the cosmetics the Season 10 Pass and Plunder Pass are not summer or Halloween themed? I assume the Season 10 cosmetics (which should have dropped in June/early July?) were probably in the bag already. And they were probably seasonally flavored (as they were in the past). And it might be a no-brainer to just keep those ready to go. But on Oct 19th, summer is over. So an obvious choice would be to change it up to Halloween stuff since Halloween cosmetics are always popular and present in every game that offers them. But on Oct 19th, Halloween is almost over. And it's going to be disappointing to be unlocking Halloween stuff after Halloween is over. Or even more likely, unlocking all the Halloween stuff, but then it feeling out-of-season a few days later. So, in my humble opinion, I would love to see the cosmetics take on any theme that isn't seasonal.
Some examples of things that didn't sit right from previous seasons include:
Season 4: September 23, 2021 - December 2, 2021 - The Jack-O-Looter set. IMHO Halloween costumes loose their fun a week after Halloween.
Season 5: December 2, 2021 - March 10, 2022 - The Bell Brigade set (clearly Christmas stuff) went 2.5 months past Christmas.
Season 7: August 4, 2022 - November 22, 2022 - The Beach Comber's set went all the way to end of November. IMHO its weird to be excited about unlocking beach gear when the Northern Hemisphere is getting ready for autumn.
And this isn't me saying I don't enjoy all of these cosmetics! I really do. I just didn't like the timing of their release. I will be wearing the Jack-O-Looter this October, and rocking the Bell Brigade pieces this holiday season, and wore my beach outfits this summer.
Also, if anyone from Rare is reading this. I know you're probably working on much more important things than cosmetics. But maybe stick a pin in this idea and bring it up later?
Thanks!
