Monkey Island bugs

    So I'm trying to play the Monkey Island tall tale.

    SPOILERS AHEAD

    I get claw hammer from prison, but then head up to the lookout. I try a path down, but despawn and respawn on top of the lookout WITHOUT claw hammer in hand. Claw hammer is caught in area I can't access because I despawn there.

    Fine, I drop the tall tale and seek out Kate Capsize again, second attempt.

    This time, I can't raise box using crane. I can attach it, but the crane is stuck and none of the controls work.

    I try jumping back in, but even if I just leave game, the Tall Tale is not there to be resumed. I have to restart the quest at Kate Capsize every time.

    It looks neat, but is there going to be game breaking bugs every step of the way? And can someone tell me what the next one might be so I can hopefully avoid it?

    First part is definitely a bug caused by the despawn wall and the way your character just drops stuff on the spot when blackscreening.

    This is not a bug. Maybe there is something that is holding the box down?

    Thanks, I judged that one a bit too quick. Actually saw the solution before I read your reply.

    A prompt would be good "Hmm, something seems to be stuck down there", but oh well.

    If anyone have anymore warnings, I am all ears.

    Happened to me as well with the hammer but if you wait about 10 minutes it respawns back at the shop. All items do that if you drop them after a while they respawn where they initially were located.

    I've fully completed the tall tale, but I did run into issues. I was not able to speak to the skulls or pirate leaders. I had to force-quit the game and rejoin. However on a replay of the tale, I ran into this again, and force-quit didn't work.

    I can't even get past the initial part where you sail into the rocks. Goes for a little then starts black screening when the "dad guy" is supposed to come aboard. Tried restarting and even switching ships and still nothing. I guess I just don't get to play the game today...
