I sincerely believe that I speak for most of the players when I say that an urgent PvE mode is needed in Sea of Thieves, it can not be that you spend HOURS to get some chests, skulls and trinkets for a funny guy appears and gets the idea to attack you with everything you have on you, that causes a lot of frustration, in my case I spent from 10:00am until 14: 30 getting a lot of chests and suddenly a smart guy appears and starts attacking me, plus suddenly a Red Sea appears and sinks my ship little by little and without being completely sunk, I teleport and lose everything, the only thing I'm glad is that the smart guy has not been left with nothing and see if hopefully he has sunk in misery, so I come to the conclusion that it takes a PvE mode for people who simply want to search for treasures, do quests and generally enjoy all the mysteries of the map and not have to be worried about some joker for not qualify him otherwise, who decides to come and take away what you have taken HOURS to get, I hope that somehow you can achieve this PvE mode, My suggestion would be to put some kind of flag for you to enter PvE mode or simply do as is done in Gta5, a private session with some limitations and ready, so we avoid having a hard time and enjoy, those who play in PVP and risk losing things could have some advantage that is already in your discretion.
PvE mode URGENT
this will get locked soon, as Rare have made thier views on it known and not willing to keep beating a dead horse. but Nope it doesn't need a pve and it would ruin the game. why should you be able to collect rep and gold on a server with no threat. if in any way you get a pve server, which i highly am against. you should not be able to earn anything while in that server. this is a pirate game and i'm still confused why certain players can't quite grasp the concept of that
Also the red sea is the edge of the map, when you hit it you should have turned around and should have been watching your map more closely if you were near it. sinking in the red etc is no surprise to anyone, it's been a feature of the borders of the map since release
@jolusoga PvE mode will never happen. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this game isn’t built this way. If you don’t like that, then this game isn’t for you.
@jolusoga One of the best ways to be successful in this game is to check for other ships every once in a while. Speaking from personal experience, I have found that keeping track of the horizon has been 90% of what keeps me from being sunk.
Ahoy, going to be dropping anchor on this thread as there is a post about Rare's thoughts on PvPvE (including a link to the Sea of Thieves Podcast that discusses it) here: https://www.seaofthieves.com/community/forums/topic/136693/pvpve-the-team-s-thoughts/1
You can read an article by Joe here in regards to Private/Custom Servers.
Thank you.
