Why is this important?
Well, as most of you already know, the devs have been really quiet about any upcoming updates,Season 9 has ran its course, any info the devs have given about the next season has been low in terms of quality and quantity of content. There are 2 possible responses for this type of scenario: Either Rare are winding down or revving up! If we take a look at preceding patterns we might just figure out what Rare has in store for us.
According to previous recorded patterns, season 10 is due to come out sometime in end of June/ July, which also happens to coincide and fit nice and tightly with...
that's right, the xbox show-case!
Ultimately what this may imply is that this update is going to be big.
Rare and xbox/ Microsoft company seem to be getting along well, with Rare receiving lots of creative freedom, and xbox/ Microsoft being pleased with the games sales as sea of thieves continue to be a contender for one of xbox most popular games. It would be to everyone's benefit if sea of thieves next season was big enough to glue eyes to the screen for the announcement of a season 10 content blast, filled with mystery and epic adventures. After all, one of the biggest announcements for xbox show case amongst competing new game, has been sea of thieves, practically supporting and boosting the value of the show.
We also have new costumes and items in the emporium for pirates of the carribean that was announced not too long ago. Why is this important? Because from a business point of view, micro transactions supported by other game content boosts sales. Ultimately Rare is a business that wants full billow cash flow, with great sales. So thee smart and savvy business practice would be to release gameplay content as a promotion for the cosmetics.
If last xbox show case is anything to go by, we might be seeing more tall tales, hopefully with our pirate counterparts from pirates of the Caribbean and with more action and more epic adventures than ever before.
