Cooking at Seaposts

  • Ahoy scurvy rats! Wouldn’t it be awesome to have the option not to only fish and buy bait as it is at the seaposts but to also cook in the pots! Pirates like myself who enjoy a good few hours at a Seapost just chilling and enjoying the experience of a fisherman life, cooking on the ship isn’t full chill as you’re having to be moving around constantly, the whole purpose is to chill at the Seapost without having to go back and fourth onto your shop to cook.

But..you still would have to "move" to go to the cooking pot and cook. What the difference here?

  • On that topic
It's hilarious how sea forts have the most prized treasure in the entire sea of thieves
    A LARGE STOVE.

I regularly end up having to evict ghosts from there just to do some cooking.
Cuz there is no way I'm spending an hour cooking a bit of meat/fish on my ship.

She wants to hang out at the seapost, enjoying the scenery and occasionally cook a fish or two while doing so. The difference seems pretty clear - no endless going back to the ship, going downstairs, maybe waiting a few seconds until the food is done, putting new food on the burner, and then returning to the seapost.

It's about the vistas, man. And cooking in a relaxing manner without having to stay below deck.

  • @remakoro right!!! I couldn't agree more. I mean, it's extra loot/deeds/miles, etc... That we can get by completing the forts BUT most of the time, it's about chilled fishing and cooking without having the burden of PVE in-between. When I'm fishing, I'm fishing, I want nothing else.

  • @eldritchbear thanks for "proper" reading my post and understanding what it was I was trying to imply. I probably didn't make it clear, and aye it's time consuming those minutes you spend from hopping multiple times from seapost to ship. Islands, sea forts and outposts all have cooking options, so why not add seaposts.

  • @lj-marst0n nah you make it all clearly. He just love that kind of very cheap troll type posts.

Cooking at the seaposts would be fun.

  • Would make sense, also means you could scuttle to reduce drawing attention. Although personally I don't cook fish other than for eating

  • @hiradc I've scuttled in the past and just chilled at the seapost but it was more for commendations towards the fish rather than money. Also, at that time there was some PVP nearby I wanted to avoid haha

  • Honestly this is a give in idea, there should be a 3-4 top stove like port merrick or the sea forts. Rare should do this before a Hunter's call emissary update.

  • I see no reason why a stove at seaports could not be a thing.
