Merchant Alliance Lost Shipment Voyage Bugs

  • Hi everyone,

it's been a few months since I last played the game, and I wanted to play the game again some more.

In the past few days I've been mostly playing as Merchant Alliance emissary, doing mostly Lost Shipment voyages.
However, out of five voyages, three of them were bugged somehow.

    • In one instance, there was no sunken ship at the end, only Manifest floating in water. So, no chests in the captain's cabin to loot :(

    • In another instance, after an 8-clue voyage, finally we found the wreck, but the Captain's Key couldn't open the Captain's Cabin. It simply said that I need a key. Again, a lot of time wasted

    • Finally, this happened yesterday, there was no Captain Key anywhere. I even checked twice the whole route, just to make sure. What I could remember, and I'm not sure if it is related, is that there was a blue light in the water at one point, and since I like to quickly harpoon items, I could've picked it up automatically, but there was another glitch that happened. The chest I harpooned, stayed on the needle, and I had to manually pull it down. This happened a few times to me already, unrelated to this voyage. Do I harpoon stuff too fast? Is there a server sync issue? Could it be that the Captain's Key was pulled, but due to a desync, it was replaced by or duplicated by a chest? Just a wild guess, trying to help in pinpointing the issue

    • Another thing I'd like to report is that it also happened to me that yesterday after I found the Captain's Key, I dropped it temporarily onto the ground on a beach, but it dropped through world geometry (cannot remember what island exactly). Luckily, after some time trying to find it, I managed to pick it up and use it

Anyways, a lot of time wasted, unfortunately.

Great game otherwise, so I really hope these bugs will be squashed soon.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Sometimes when you harpoon small items quickly, they can end up on the bottom deck (assuming you're on a sloop) or embedded in the hull. I've had this happen while rapidly collecting the skulls after completing a Ghost Fleet voyage.

I've never had an issue with the key not opening the Captain's quarters - it's possible that someone else also had a Lost Voyages active and you were on their ship and not the one for your voyage? The ship name on the manifest parchment should match the title card when you first swim down.

  • Just spent 5 hours today trying to do list voyages, only to open captain cabin with a key and have no loot there at all or the ship log... This game is a waste of time. What's the point in putting in the time and effort if the developers can't even fix this a year later. Just absolute garbage developers from India.

  • I've also been trying to get my rep up through lost voyages and have wasted hours without getting loot because of all the bugs. Just an absolute waste of my time and the developers don't care.
