Sea of Thieves has launched The Hoarder's Hunt. The new Mystery will take players across in the internet in search of clues, and there's a real-life golden skull to be won.

Did anyone notice how the outpost shown is wrong?
It's Sanctuary Outposts landmass and tavern, but the shops are in the wrong places, Keel Haul Fort and Sandy Shallows are not visible at all, and Sailor's Bounty is way too close to the island. There's also no Sovereign.

You said you had four groups of three, right? Have you tried triangulating them? Depending on how far off the third coordinate is, Moskito Island may be in the vicinity. If not, there are plenty of other opportunities for a clue around the Caribbean and the Bermuda Triangle.

I may have something that's in line with what @realstyli speculated on yesterday. I was trying out different words the Macaw was saying in the Twitch Stream that were said multiple times.

I tried "Misfits," "Shady," and "Skull" in alphabetical order, and it brought me to Melbourne Beach in Florida, a little South of Orlando. Here's the link: https://what3words.com/misfits.shady.skill

I thought it was another dead end until I saw that Palm Bay, Florida (where Melbourne Beach is located) has a "Turkey Creek Sanctuary." I haven't tried any Street Views yet, and it may just be another coincidence, but I'm going to see if there are any clues attached to the history of the Turkey Creek Sanctuary.

You seem to be subbing "skull" with "skill" in that link? I don't think "skull" is a valid W3W word.

I do think we are going to come up with a few coincidences. I'm not sold on my own result but posted it to be thorough, given it was something.

And, no, the street view in my case led nowhere that I could see.

"Misfits" and "Shady" are still sticking out to me, but I'd still need a third word. "Misfits" especially seems likely, considering it was very obvious when we were focused on the 4 portraits on the wall.

If W3W only allows for certain words, that should make it easier to narrow down our search, no? We could theoretically use Process of Elimination to solve it.

so i'm the only one who finds it odd that shady.lives.misfits has an arrow on the ground, palm trees and parrots around?

The first 3 words after showing the coded banana are: chickens, misfits, locker. Plugging them into what3words and it takes you to a Soviet air museum (former airport), Ulyanovsk Aircraft Museum. Probably has nothing to do with it, but I thought it was ironic that it's a museum full of "red birds."

@lordiflashheart palm trees and parrots are literally next to the building and an arrow is literally on a marked point that is shady.lives.misfits, just look down and then up

@lordiflashheart I see what he is saying.. the arrow points to a concrete pole that has some sort of numbers and letters carved into it https://what3words.com/shady.lives.misfits drop the street view guy.. you will see a faint black arrow pointing to the pole, palm trees and 2 parrot like birds above either flying or perching. I wonder if the pole numbers are important to this... dont want to look too deep, but you would certainly need a magnifying glass see the carved stuff

when you watch the video most of the time you see the parrot with green white red head but there are always these short sequences where 2 parrots are to be longed for. And in the sequences, the all-red parrot is in front most of the time. At the end there is a sequence where only the red parrot can be seen. So I ask myself a question - Why aren't the two birds in the video the whole time....
