I've played a few games where fishing is an activity, they find ways to make it at least a little entertaining. I feel like sea of thieves can implement some mechanics. It could be optional for those who come in to rest for a while. For example, the one in Stardew Valley, something simple but that keeps you attentive and tests you. I think an additive like that would make boat trips a lot more fun if you already heard the songs or your crew don't rolel with you and drink grog
Fishing.
Fishing has been a thing for like 4 years now, and IMO has got to be one of the most actually interactive fishing mechanics, especially compared to things like Minecraft or Terraria, even RDR2.
Besides adding some variety between fishing methods (e.g spearfishing similar to Warframe, maybe) I think Rare handled fishing well, with how many types of fish, rarity, trophy fish, random loot, rarer pieces of "junk" etc@gallerine5582 It's interactive since you can't detach yourself for even a second, but I don't feel so comfortable with it, I mean, I care about the trophies, treasures that they can give you, etc. but I don't know if I'm used to other modes but fishing after For a while I find it a bit boring since I don't find it very difficult. rare did well, I'm not saying no but me and my friends agree that a more difficult alternative is needed for fishing. At least as a feature that is activated in options or some mode of the hunter's call. But of course, that's my opinion. I guess everyone is different.

I would like there to be more to catch and maybe some more non pvp mechanics.
