Ya'harr mateys, was thinking to propose a concept for a new voyage for the merchants, using ideas from other content currently in the game and new items.
The voyage would be similar to Ancient Veil/lost shipment. Player would receive a journal/log book to follow clues and maps.
The player would be searching for: Legendary/Cursed/Green(St Patricks)/Ancient - Grog/Jewels/Rum.
Could also be a recipe?
The 1st part of the voyage would take tools and mechanics from the previous adventure of watching the constellations for Briggsy. You would need to sail around islands looking for those constellations and there you would be digging up a chests with some merchant loot (non coral variants of the shrine merchant loot) looking to complete a device which is made of 3 parts. The item would be a homing device (some ancient magic stuff) which would change colors according to how close you are to your destination. Red - Far away, Yellow - getting closer, Green - You are near.
After finding the last piece of the homing device, you would receive a crypted clue with the area name. Preferably something to do with astrology, or perhaps some constellations would have similarities in how islands are placed? You get me.
Now that you have figured out your rough location of the next destination. You will sail to the wilds and the homing device would start changing colors once you get close. As soon as it turns to the color indicating you are close. You will have to Dive down to collect the loot pieces/sometimes found on the beach of islands. (The loot would only appear once the device has changed color to the ''you are close'', preventing unintended stealing).
So the idea would be that preferably the loot would not just be lying on the beach, but would not be on the bottom in the middle of ocean either. They would be on the sea bed, but not too deep down.
So. Speak to Sudds/Merchant. Get the voyage. Locate islands and follow star constellations to dig up buried treasure and parts of homing device. Assemble the device (similar to veil stone). Follow the clues and the device to your destination and find the missing treasure.
Just a quick scramble of ideas. Perhaps something similar for OOS would be lovely too. But the previous adventure was pretty cool and would be a shame to let that mechanic be out of main adventure.
