Why does the Anchor just sometimes Not Work?

    I like to park my boat beside the Large Sea rocks while sailing, like the one down at Z26 for example, because it's secluded and makes fishing Devil Fish a peaceful experience :)
    I anchor the ship like normal to stop it from moving away while I fish, and not 5 - 10 minutes later the boat has done a complete 180 and is facing the other direction.

    Or sometimes I'll park as close as I can get to the rock (Mainly for protection against the Sea Volcano at Y25) and despite being anchored, the boat will sometimes just float away from the rock.

    Does the Anchor not work while close to these rocks?

    if it's touching something it could eventually bounce itself around trying to get unstuck

    and roar activity will move it around near land as well

    So I'm just too close to the rock and the game is trying to "Fix" my boat so it doesn't despawn itself from being stuck. Gotcha.

    The ship used to not be affected by the waves pushing it when anchored but now it is.

    It used to be once your ship came to a rest when anchored your ship would stay perfectly still and be unaffected by the waves.

    It’s the same mechanic that causes your shift to drift off course when sailing West/Northwest/North.

    At least that’s what I think anyway.

    I’ve also noticed if your ship is touching the ground the anchor will not stop the ship until the game considers you to not be touching the ground.

    It is annoying, is what it is.

    I know of the Beached Mechanic and how the Boat tries to push itself away from land to stop itself from despawning...

    But this is why these rocks confuse me...

    The Boat isn't on top of anything ._.

    I personally think this is a bug and they need to do away with it.
