  • Often times load screens and menu screens will not have fps caps.

    You can always cap it manually with your graphics driver.

  • @personalc0ffee mmm i think most game i play has fps cap in menu as at least an option . if i cap in drivers then it will only reach that max in the actual game too no? i get 200 fps in game so i do not want limit every frames

  • I don't recall if the windows version has a fps cap, but Steam definitely does..? Go to "2" settings; video settings; framerate lock

    The game does have an fps cap. It is in the Settings.

    It is between 60, 120 and 144 if I recall correctly.

    Limiting your frames globally to your refresh rate, is actually good practice so that nothing ever pushes past your refresh rate. Higher is not better once you pass your display's total refresh rate.

  • The human eye can only discern up to 60 fps.

    Just sayin.

  • @foambreaker No

  • @personalc0ffee im not asking to limit my frames while i am sailing the seas captain. i just want to only get 60 on the launch screen captain. like in most games where in the main menu you only get 60 fps captain

  • @unleet1 i know that you can do that. im talking about in the menu. where i only want 60 or less fps captain. not the entire game

    Apart from limiting your frame rates with your graphics driver software or a 3rd party software; I don't think you can.

    I don't know how it works for AMD but for Nvidia gpu driver, you can just globally limit SoT and not the rest of your games or machine.

    @foambreaker No

    Reading comprehension is your friend

  • @foambreaker still even more fps makes for a better picture overall. It’s about quality and performance

  • @captn-chaddy Beyond 60 you cannot see it and more FPS decreases performance.
