Reaper Outpost

  • More than 1 Reaper outpost but also not too many. I believe we should have 2.

  • Double+ pay wouldn't work in that scenario

    but the risk has gone up and the reward has stayed the same without balancing so I do think harpoons would be within balance

    Reapers are a Risk=Reward emissary. Most the time...they dont even gather loot but just go about sinking ships. So why should they have another outpost?

    Now on the other hand...During the "Save the Golden outpost"
    We were shown hidden agents. How about random agents that appear on different islands, which you can deliver goods too. Of course they will only accept if A) Your wearing reaper costume and emissary. B) Accept certain loot depending on location. C) You find out locations once your in costume and emissary, talk to the Masked guy.
    Locations change every 24 hours.

    If I had to pitch a new idea for reapers selling I'd say bring back the lurking Reapers that hid on islands for you during the Battle for Golden Sands Adventure.

    You can sell them 1 piece of any loot OR talk to them to reveal the last island visited by a random captained ship, after that they go back to hiding.

  • @rougual ooh the random bit of info on another ships location could be a lot of fun! I would prob not keep the same islands though and add them throughout the Sea of Thieves!

  • @huntie2841 Just want to know the reason for this... There is no reason to have a second unless you are trying to avoid PVP... Which is the purpose of the faction...

    The purpose was higher risk and high reward the issue being that balanced wasn't maintained and it became not only the main target for hopping pvp it also saw portal jumping brought in as well as flooding the docks with supplies, meanwhile reapers faction saw no organic benefits increased, only risk

    There shouldn't be another sell source but a sovereign like sell system at reapers would be appropriate.

    Ambushing style while selling (if efficiently) really shouldn't be a thing anymore as ambushing only fits into risk/reward when it's a system where investors in a server have the supplies and power, since they flooded docks it's no longer balanced to consider the ambush strat something that should be part of the deal anymore.

  • There was a possible chance for it, either that... or possibly a portal to the sea of the damned, but sadly, we missed it.

  • @nitroxien I can see how it may seen but... just being marked on the map is a big enough target for PVP so that is not the reason for the extra sell point. Better access to the sell point is what I was shooting for.

  • The general point of Reapers Hideout is that you have one place to turn in...but as such, it becomes a 'conflict point'. Folks will know where you are headed to cash in your loot!
