I would really love like a large crab that works somewhat like the megalodon except in shallow water.
Sigend-
a crab enjoyer who likes crabs
I'd like to see the process of defeating it more than just shooting it over and over with guns or blasting it into oblivion with tridents
it would be cool if there was more strategy to it, especially with a crab which is a foe that I think they have a lot of possibilities for when it comes to how to fight it
Did actually propose an idea for such a while back, can't recall where it was though. I called it the Burrowing Brachyura, it was a large crab the size of a small island, or in this case about a sloop. Upon it's back would sit a small sandbar of sorts with a palm tree and shrubbery. Its attacks would involve swipes, stampeding, burrowing charge, and stomping. When defeated it would drop a number of shipwrecked or coral loot along with its two claws as unique treasures to be handed into the Hunters Call, along with the Brachyura/Crab legs that can be cooked up and eaten or turned in as well. A unique trinket would be its claw mounted on a plaque of the varying tiers.

Don't we already have a giant crab in the form of 1 of the Ocean Crawlers?
It would seem redundant to add another, IMO.
the crab mutant thing never fit in imo
I don't even know how many people even think of it as a crab
I think an actual giant crab would be fun and wouldn't cause people overall to think of it as redundant

Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Rare does...
I mean we already have sharks and megs, right? 😅
