Love SoT but the bugs are just extremely irritating!

    Earlier today I was playing and got attacked by a brig crew. I honestly didn't stand a chance so wanted to scuddle.
    Scuddling didn't work ... So that crew started camping my boat. It's the first time I encountered this bug, but it causes a lot of irritation, so I just logged off for the rest of the day.

    It's the same with the bug that prevents you from jumping ... got it mid combat 2 days ago when I boarded another ship -.-

    I understand there will always be bugs but these two are quite game breaking in my opinion.

    This isn't to go against your concern and experience but I always recommend to players in your situation to just switch servers

    I recommend this for a few reasons

    1. You have established there are campers on the server, this increases future known risk as opposed to unknown risk

    2. After they have taken over the boat they can gather intel about your situation so even if you're voyaging they now have an idea of what you are doing and this can possibly lead to another encounter

    3. tall tales have check points that can be taken to any server, no reason to stick with a known hostile server

    This doesn't mean you should be in the situation it's just a productive way to get past the unpleasantness quickly and on to chasing more opportunity.

    Scuttling does have its uses but imo a server hop is going to make the most sense for a significant portion of the participants most of the time in a similar scenario.
