Let me elaborate, I want to bury my loot on an island exit the game and when I get back online I still have the map to my loot. Like what kind of pirate cant "save" his/her own treasure map through different playthroughs. Pirates can still take it from my table or from sinking me but just make it save through different playthroughs if neither of those happen. It just doesn't make since that I cant save my treasure maps.
Make buried treasure maps save through different play throughs.
It's not your treasure until you sell it ;)
And to say more. I'd say to be fair, there then should be a high chance your map would be found in a floating/beached bottle...gotta keep things balanced. Would be sad if you were being chased, your mate jumps off with that valuable treasure, buries it for that time you re-log next time (5 minutes later when scuttled and got a new server) :p
@Captain-Dubs591
That's an incredibly broken suggestion.So what, if I'm being chased I can just bury my chest of legends, go to a new lobby and dig it up there?
Pirates can still take it from my table or from sinking me but just make it save through different playthroughs if neither of those happen.
When you Disconnect your boat is automatically scuttled and your maps disappear, because the game sees you as no longer being on the lobby. If you Disconnect out of your lobby the enemy pirate cannot ''take it from my table or from sinking me''.
@scheneighnay I would see it as you've already picked up the loot so it wouldn't count towards the emissary flag value.
@callmebackdraft Doesnt it take 10 minutes for your ship to despawn technically keeping all maps and loot on the server till then.
@captain-dubs591 only if you leave the game "ungracefully" meaning either alt-f4, force closing the game on xbox or the game crashing
if you click "leave game" it instantly sinks (which pops up the map bundle currently) it also instantly sinks when you start a new session instead of using rejoin in the examples above.
