Cannon Hit Sound Alert

  • Can we please get the cannon hit sound alert moved to sound fx instead of music?
    I really enjoy playing my own music while playing Seas, and have to turn down the ingame music, which also takes away cannon hit alert sound.
    If that could be moved into sound fx category instead of music, that would be great.

  • @xooghostoox4733 100% agree. I’d like to play without music or with my own music but i am not willing to give up on the hit sound alert that is crucial to the game when fighting. Decoupling it from music would be great.

    You mean the loud crash, explosion, rumble & KA-BOOM isn't enough of a Alert?

  • They arleady said this is hardcoded into the game.

    It is actually music. Its a full on track that contuniues if you hit combos in a certain amount of time. I say That's music and not SFX.

  • @burnbacon You can't hear those sounds from a distance, this is where the Sound alert is very useful.
    I'd love for the sound cue to be moved to the SFX audio controls too.

  • @thorumsu I get that it is actual music, with the "do da doooooo...." gradually getting higher pitch the more combos you hit.
    Just making the suggestion to move it to sound fx controls and not grouped in with all the other music.
    Or perhaps making it a whole section just for ambient music vs other music.. You have sailing music, fort music, boss music, cannon shot music.
    Personally I love boss fight music, the sea fort music, etc.. The fog is amazing as well.
    There are times I just want to kill that music, yet still have my cannon shot alert music playing.

    Great idea. The cannon hit needs to be moved to FX. Having to have the music on makes it really hard to hear boarders if you are hard of hearing.

  • Great idea! Also move the sound of the waves to some other category than sfx.

    Considering how many people want this, it is safe to say that it is not easy to seperate them.

    I think a uniqe hitmarker for hitting ships would be a (proably) way easier and great solution to this.

    One thing Phuzzy recommends a lot is having the "veil fort hit" sound effect when you hit a ship. It is effected by the sound effect slider so there would be no need to seperate any sound files.

    That makes the cannon hit sound effect controlled by the music slider make even less sense when they have already added a new hit effect on the proper slider.

    The only possible reasoning is that the Veil hit effect is a "realistic" sound, while the cannon hit sound is musical.
