Captaincy - Couldn't Load Ships

Just stopped by to say "same". I bought a ship the first day and sailed no problem. Haven't been able to load it back up since then. The only problem with captained ships is that now I only want to play on my captained ship or else I feel like I'm losing progress.

Please let us know if this is something that being looked in to! I want to play SoT, but won't set sail without my ship!

Same for me tonight, tried 3 times to log in with my ship and it just sits there. It tries to go through the list however, 2nd or 3 one in it just hangs up.

Ive been experiencing the same issue since launch, cannot load "My Ships" from the title screen, nor the "Ships Log" in the in game menu

This has affected me too, and I do want to talk about it so that maybe Rare will finally do something.

Here is what DID NOT Work, so don't waste time trying it.

-Verifying Game files
-Deletion and Reinstalling
-Disabling Firewall
-Running as Admin
-Logging out and into XBox Life

In Addition, It seems whatever caused this also blocked me from buying anything from any NPC Trader. Everything results in an infinite Loading screen.
-No Equipment
-No Missions
-No cosmetics
-The game is basically unplayable unless someone carries me through it

I'm curious if others with the Ship-issue have this same problem.

Customer Support has been thouroughly unhelpful. 6 Days of Silence were followed by an automated answer that told me the problem has been marked as fixed
and will be adressed in a future patch. It is very obviously not fixed. This is also not related to Server activity. Same Problem on Saturday Evening (busy) and Friday at 10 am (Dead).

If I had to guess. We are somehow shadowbanned by the server from accessing any of this content. How? Why? When? I do not know.
I do know that Rare better apologize for this.

I'm haven't the same issue! The first time was awsome went to log in on my ship the second time and haven't been able to l0ad my ship since! RARE! What is going on?

I have been dealing with issues for the last couple weeks with infinite loading screens at vendors. It has been an intermittent problem but I've always been able to use my ship. Turn the game on tonight and it says cant load my ships. I've tried a few things to try and get it to work and nothing!

I have been going through this same problem and it's so annoying that I can't play the game the way it's meant to be played. @echo1hb I'm having this same issue, I can't even check what decorations I got or check-up with any vendors. I hope they resolve the issue soon because it's just ruining the experience.

@zig-zag-ltu not at all, this was even before I even managed to purchase a ship. This is an on-off problem for me so sometimes it will work (rarely). After I purchased the ship the problem persisted and a week later I still cannot access or view the ships, anything to do with captaincy, or anything from vendors.

For me the no ships loading thing started like a few days ago and i just go back to the main menu and back into play and it loads my ships i press sail on my sloop but it loads me into a sloop thats not my captained one

@captain-cuculin I agree man, I'm really glad that this thread is getting the attention it needs because it's making the game very unplayable. I'll check that out later today but it still doesn't solve the vendor's loading screen problem I feel they go hand in hand because if I can't load my ships, I can't load vendors and vice-versa.

Played last night and I was able to access my ships again. So it seams like an on and off thing. @ZiG-ZaG-LTU my ship name is "Echo's Fury" so I don't think the name is the issue. I did however experience infinite loading screens twice at the shipwright where I need to close the game, restart it and then load back into session. A lot of the time when I get these loading screens I will make a purchase of cannon balls or something from the shipwright and it will work fine. Then I try to buy something else and it happens. Other times its immediate. One time it happened while trying to purchase a bundle of captains voyages. Separate issue, maybe, one night I was trying to purchase captains voyages and it would let me buy the voyage would not appear in my voyage inventory. When I went online the next night, those captains voyages did appear in my inventory.

@bitsneakysven I don't think they will till the next update dude lol, by that time a new bug will come out and we'll be seeing each other here again

I FOUND A QUICK-FIX SOLUTION!!

If you are having trouble with vendor's or your ships try spam clicking the loading screen for vendor's or spam clicking the ship button and it should come up. It just worked for me! If it does not work i'm sorry for the @ :(

Update: I tried to do it a second time and the method I mentioned did not work, I restarted the game and signed out, and spamming still did not temp solve it at all.

Let's just hope they can find the issue sometime soon.

I began having issues while on a server (captain voyage shop was stuck in an infinite load loop, and if it did load, it was just empty so no "inventory" to buy) so I backed out of the game and went to launch a new one, but it wasn't loading my captained ships. Spam-clicking the button to get to captained ships worked. It took a minute of just clicking the heck out of it but did let me in. Sloop launched fine. Still ran into the issue with the voyage shop but this time around it was making me buy one voyage, then back out and buy a second one after going back in again. Was pretty buggy but it worked. Didn't try spam clicking anything while doing this so someone else's success with doing that (above) may do the trick.

Either way, PC fix works with spam clicking that "my ships" button when loading into the ship selection menu.

I keep coming back to these forums to see if the game has been fixed only to be let down again. I've gotten a refund for my ancient coins this seasons plunder pass. I've honestly given up on this game at the moment. It's kind of depressing as this was literally one of my favorite games ever. However they've not fixed anything, customer support has been awful and this update is just littered with bugs.

This was supposed to be "4 years in the making" and literally nothing works. It hasn't been fixed in a timely manner at all. It's been almost an entire calendar month now. They've seem to care only about SoT Fest and Gamescon recently. Idk what happened to Rare recently but it hasn't been good.

@captain-cuculin Yeah its a temp fix but it doesn't always do the trick, you have to try again after a while if it doesn't work.

Does anyone know if the 7.8 G update solved any issues related to this thread?? I'm gonna try and see if it still persists.

Ditto! Logged in about 10 mins ago, "Couldn't Load Ships", tried restarts and spam-clicking. My wife has just logged in first time today, same thing! So this problem appears to spreading so Rare dev team had better get back into work and start looking at it before it kills the game stone dead!

@zig-zag-ltu I would give it some time, this thread is gain traction and we should get a hotfix or update this month. By that time idk if anyone is gonna care but we shall see.

Just logged on for the first time after the update with foxes and whatever else, and somehow it would appear I have contracted the bug that lots of you seem to have had for a while now. Previously I could access my ships but after said update I can't anymore. I don't quite know how they could make an update that somehow spreads the issue, but yeah, issue is still there and i can confirm its spreading to people who never dealt with it originally. Sucks because I really don't feel incentivized to play without my ship(s) and work towards those achievements. Hopefully there's a fix soon because I can't see myself playing while constantly feeling like I'm missing out on progress.
