I also can't load any of my ships. Up until this point it has been fairly reliable. Once or twice it wouldn't load but backing out to title sceen and returning seemed to get them to load. Yesterday I was able to load my ships fine, today i've tried maybe 10 times, it won't load. I got one time to load, I selected my ship and set sail as a solo sloop. Upon waking up in the tavern I got a message "the crew's captain has left" or something like that. I thought that was interesting as I was solo and the "captain" on this session. I walked out to the jetty and low and behold, a default sloop with no name tied to the pier. I believe season 7 started a month ago did it not Rare? I believe this issue has been reported since hour 1 has it not?

I spent lots of gold on my ship and when I go to my ships it just says couldn't load ships there was a problem loading your ship selection try again later. I have Restarted my console and reopened the game and I can't think of what else to do. They need to fix it

@cresentxwolf I was able to sail on my captained ship this morning. A few hours later and I’m having this issue.

I logged on today when yesterday I loaded my captain ship and there was no problem but I log on today and it just won't load any of my ships I have tried restarting killing the game but nothing. I login to my husband's account to see if he is having the same issues and yes he is our captained ships just won't load. It makes no since that yesterday it worked now today it doesn't.

Try running through the tutorial again. It worked for me.

The issue still persists, this is just laughable at this point.

I have a similar issue, however I'm able to load my captained ship ..and it has no name.

Where there would be a name it's either blank, or shows [ShipName]

The off-putting "ShipName" with no space is certainly indicative of an issue. The brackets clearly evidence an issue on the backend. I'm not going to try to spend precious resources attempting to rename my ship.

Rare! Acknowledge the issue and advise, please!?

Off and on had this problem over the past month (Xbox player), but it would usually solve itself after trying for a few minutes. However, I haven’t been able to access any of my captained ships ever since the most recent update. I have been off and on trying to get it to work for over a day now and still no dice. Extremely frustrating to see especially since all I’m seeing from Rare so far is them saying the problem has been fixed and them adding more things to buy in the emporium.

Tried sailing my captaincy ship at the beginning of the session. No dice, same error msg everyone has described. My friend had no issue with his, thus we sailed that one. Logged out after turn-in, attempted to log back in to my ship again. Same error msg 3 seperate times after going through several of the reset attempts also mentioned in this thread. Whatever update/fix tried, it has certainly not fixed the issues across the board at this time.

Same issue. But for me it started like 5 hrs ago. Hadnt experienced it before that. Wont load ships, and the world is broken for me if i try a temporary ship. Playing on xbox here

@meroviel As someone else has already mentioned in the thread, the issue hasn't seemed to have been fixed for everyone yet, I hoped on tonight to play for the first time in a couple of days and am having the exact same issues as @bitsneakysven it sits loading the Captained Ships for ~1 minute before giving a "Couldn't Load Ships" error and if I log in with a rental ship, I get infinite loadings at all the vendors.

@meroviel Hey there, I am still having the problem where I get the error message ''Couldn't Load Ships There was a problem loading your ship selection. Try again shortly.'' And when I try to buy something at a vender it still puts me in an infinite loading screen. So for me nothing has been fixed.

For the other players on this post, has it been solved for you?

Appreciate this thread as it's highlighted to me that we really need to be duplicating our messaging here on the Forums.

We did tweet about this last night, and post to Steam and Discord but we have now introduced a new system of posting and pinning those same announcements here.

To provide an update to this issue: We have mitigated earlier problems around setting sail on Captained ships.

Players should now be able to successfully load into a Captained session, but we will monitor player experience to ensure our Captains continue to be able to set sail smoothly.

@black-kaiser337 Welcome to the crew bro, i've been dealing with this bug for a month at this point, and idk how long it's going to take for them to fix this. You could try the spamming technique but it seems this trash "update" just made it so that it doesn't even work.

For me the no ships loading thing started like a few days ago and i just go back to the main menu and back into play and it loads my ships i press sail on my sloop but it loads me into a sloop thats not my captained one

Was having the exact issue as Weretoker, but after the recent patch. Issue persists, but managed to sail on my captained ship anyway.

I had my buddy stay in the server with the wrong (default) ship, while I returned to the menu and started a new session. This one loads my ship properly and my buddy can join in to enjoy the high seas once more.

Hope this workaround will help some becalmed soul.

The update that came out today didn't fix the bug for me sadly

what seems to have worked for me... i started a regular session then log off and my ship was availlable again

Please fix this bug, sloop doggy dogg isn't going to sail itself.

its the same for me since the last update. Is Rare a big division or is it kind of a skeleton crew trying its best?

Since the update it appears i have the same issue. At first i was able to load up the captain ships and i selected the sloop, but upon loading into the server the game said "the captain left" even though i was still there. So then i leave the server and now i cant load any captain ships.

Not working at all since patch. Even on the off chance I get to choose my ship, it "nopes" and defaults me to a non captained ship
