Ok so I've been thinking that it would be cool to add kilts to Sea of Thieves for a while. I wear kilts and love highland fashion. I think it would be awesome if the great kilt or casual kilt was added as an outfit in the shop. I would love for my two favorite things to be added. And plus it would be clothing that was worn during the time period. You don't have to add bagpipes as an emote if you don't want...
Adding a Kilt as a cosmetic

Rare has appropriated other cultures before, so I see no reason why they shouldn't, provided it's done with TLC. 😁
appropriated or served?
offering cosmetic/style variety in a shared experience seems more like serving those that participate, a form of giving more than taking.
@ op kilts would be a lovely addition in my view

I looked up the definition for the term before using it, and the definition seemed [ahem] appropriate. 😉
Checking again today after your post, I realize now that it was the adjective I was looking at, which states suitable or proper in the circumstances hence why I thought it was [ahem] appropriate. The verb, however states to take something for one's own use, typically without the owner's permission. That seems more along current lines of how people use the term nowadays, but I have to ask - can you really "take" someone's culture? Unless we're talking about taking it to truly evil extremes, I don't really think so.
After all, (true non-derogatory) imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. 😅
@galactic-geek as someone who is of heavy Scottish decent, I would love to see my ancestral outfit shown in as much media as possible. Unfortunately kilt wearing is dying out and though we see a slight increase in numbers it is still on a decline. So as much representation of Celtic culture as possible in media is good. As long as it's done properly I have no problem with it, and by properly I really mean don't make it pleated all around really (that's a skirt not a kilt). Though I wasn't born in Scotland it's still a big part of who I am. (The other parts of me are Welsh and Irish just to make it clear that I'm not trying to use a small percentage to make a point).
