I have my voice chat completely disabled in settings, my mic is unplugged. However when I'm watching or listening to something and if there's some loud noise my voice chat icon appears as if it was transmitting that sound from my computer into the game. If I'm listening to something I'm usually playing solo, so I can't really confirm if other can hear it.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Voice chat issue
If you have your chat indicator on, you will know if the game is picking up sound (assume this is the reason you are posting this)... If you want to prevent that, turn on the "Push To Talk" option in the audio settings and set it to hold.
If you have a webcam, be sure to disable the mic on that from your sound settings in Windows - right-click on the sound icon bottom right of your desktop, go to "Sounds", under the "Recording" tab right-click and disable any inputs you are not using. SoT will always use the recording device that is "Set as Default Communication" device, not just "Set as Default Device".
