That's playing with fire imo.
Sure it's cute, haha
but gotta watch out with flaunt 'n taunt emotes and messaging imo in a game where they are attempting to let people pirate how they want but still expecting civility.
A lot of personality clashing out there where one crew is putting another through a loss. As popular as the emote would be I don't think the message it sends would be helpful to the competitive environment.

Unnecessary doesn't mean bad. Cannon rowboats aren't necessary but fun as to play with. Ammo crates weren't necessary but help with on-island skeleton fights. New mission types weren't necessary but they enrich the experience.
We have plenty of tea crates, refined and raw, so I think we drink both.
This whole " humility/gloat" thing makes me think about cocky boxers . We've all seen some arrogant boxers who completely humiliate their opponent during a fight or just after a knockdown , and sure that just adds to their legacy or renown , but some fights later you see them getting pummeled in a way that you get compassion for them...
Because other fighters will teach their arrogance a lesson and make their legacy or renown better because they beated "the showboater" to pulp...
All i say is , you've won , be proud on that but don't stick a salty finger in the wound , because it always aggrivates to higher levels by some people . Last time i checked , Sea of Thieves, and other games were made to have fun and not be a breeding ground for frustration and hate...
When you play with those ingredients , then , you just lost your fun...

Keep it appropriate. Avoid swearing in unfamiliar company where possible. Don’t post anything containing NSFW material – this has no place in Sea of Thieves or its community spaces. And while we all have opinions of the world around us, people aren’t necessarily playing Sea of Thieves to talk about politics or contentious real-world issues. Switch off, escape and enjoy the freedom of the seas instead.
