Seashell horn of the Mer

  • With this seashell horn (through obtaining reputation with the mer) you can call upon sea creatures, depending on rep level to help you while your on the sea. Depending on your rep level below

    1. A shark attacks the target
    2. Mer/Sirens attack with range bubble at target (boat and person)
    3. Call a Megalodon to attack boat
    4. Call the Kraken to attack target boat

    This item would help Solo players alot and give you just enough time so you don't get overwhelmed.

    (The sea only hears your call if your on a boat alone, meaning you have no crew/person joining with you) your calling "the powers that be" for help none comes if you don't need it

  • I generally like the idea, but summoning a meg or (especially in the case of a brig or galleon kraken) would be op. Also not a good idea to link it to rep, that just gives veterans a advantage over noobs they frankly don't need.

    Have it only summon sharks and sirens, and it'll be a nice way to add more pvp options!

  • Yeah first calling a kraken on another ship kind of will completely ruin PVP in this game, and second this will give veteran players an advantage.

    However still completely in favor of a way to spawn a meg on yourself!

    that's how I feel about replacing environmental rng with pirate control

  • How about we introduce a new instrument, the horn/bugle/trumpet?

    Shells were literally used as horns. Be a neat skin that could be found via TT or commendation.

    No extra powers, just a musical instrument.

  • I'm sorry, but this Sea cannot be tamed, nor controlled - some pirates are still finding that out the hard way... ☠️

    Sorry but the Sea don’t care about us. Look what happen the the sirens. Merrick and the whole SoT. Curses all around. Only a few should be able to control that power and we pirates don’t deserve it n

  • @el-spaniardchi when I say rep I meant just like other trading companies you have to go up in the levels for example 1-75 Vets would have to start from scratch as well and of course 75 would be the Kraken.

    So yeah you wouldn't get kraken just from handing in some loot once from the shrine etc.

  • @nitroxien it would make it harder to kill a solo sloop I agree lol! You would need level 75 rep with the mer first not everyone will have a kraken in their pocket and I'm sure rare won't be letting you spawn 10 krakens, so I'm guessing a cool down etc.. your meant to use it when you need it etc. The lesser powers would be more available.

  • That kind of power for a pirate is way too much, as others have already mentioned.

    Also, what's to stop a crew to leave only one person in game, let that player sound the horn, messing up the other crew and then join the crew again ?

  • @lem0n just don't allow the rejoin until effect is over and cool down starts. But I think if you don't allow rejoin until effect is over / your out of battle have taken no damage etc kraken and meg should be fine.

    The other crew still has the Kraken or Meg though, the now solo-crew can escape while he wasn't a solo.

  • @wolfmanbush well... guess that makes one of us. Nothing is as bad as dogs and cats living together.

  • @stormycoire it needs to work more like an emissary because each session you join needs has to be the same as everyone else in the server, you shouldn't be able to join with any advantage over any other player unless you are portal jumping. But I love this idea honestly

  • I also don't think that it should only be available to solo crews, I think it needs to be found. Solo crews shouldn't have am advantage over anyone else regardless of their skill level. Certain aspects of the game could be easier for them like the health of skeleton lords or krakens but aside from that no one should have any type of advantage over anyone else regardless of else regardless of whether or not they have a crew.

  • @avacadobeard244 ships with crews have a number advantage over the solo sloop for example so the advantage is already there.

    Though the summoned creatures would maybe have less health and perhaps a time limit, I am also of the opinion that at a certain point you lose control of it creating a very fun mess. This might happen for the MEGALADON or Kraken, but the Sirens and sharks in the water near both boys would swim away after the time is up.

  • @avacadobeard244 ok then you need to power up the seashell horn which would give a good opportunity to expand the siren shrines and have some Mer tables at the island Outposts or like this water fountain where you can communicate with the mer in the water.
