It would be great if you would decompose costume kits into separated items. It would make them much more versatile.
Example, separating Jack Sparrow set's hat, coat, boots, gloves, beard, hair, would be fit. Furthermore, separating Dark Warsmith costume's curse from the rest of the set would allow all sorts of new combinations.
Suggestion: Deconstruct costume as set items
@personalc0ffee Most of them can be easily seperated, not costumes like the SoulFlame captain or the Bonechiller but most of them have clear individual parts.
By that i mean you can define the pants jacket gloves shoes hats and such, its not like wanzi, you can see how most of them start and end. They are not tied, you can cut them from the rest this is my meaning, so I am most certain it is very possible.
Some details are more difficult like the belts with accessories on it and pouches, gills in the Monarch costume and the Captain Soulflame but in most cases it can be done easily and even if we wont be able to use the extra additions like belts we'll be fine.
This is why I hate costumes with passion, the lack of mix and match is ruining the whole fun of this game!
And how items like rings and other jewelleries can only fit costumes?
I dont buy it! They fit every body figure so why can they be added only in costumes? I think its simply because its easier that way but its a damn shame......Lastly for my rant not being able to equipt the curses from the costumes is beyond bad decision.
@faceyourdemon Let's just ask Damien. @musicmee can you clarify? Not whether it is technically possible to separate the costume into individual pieces but that my stated reasoning for the having costumes in the first place, is accurate?
@personalc0ffee Your memory is correct... that was the originally stated reasoning behind costumes. That's not to say never, but for now, I see the costumes carrying on...
I would love to see some cosmetics like earrings added separately too don't get me wrong. But I feel scarfs, necklaces and body jewellery is done as part of a costume to work within the current body mesh/texture constraints they have (I could be wrong but that's the feeling I am getting)
@musicmee OH don't get me wrong. I would DEFINITELY love to randomize mix and match costume pieces into other outfits in the future or mix them with you know the Grand Admiral Jacket or something.
I love mixing and matching.
@personalc0ffee Hold on let me clarify myself, the way they are now made are like a sculpture, a big chunk.
The clothing were never designed seperately so its understandable why now its an issue but thats on their behalf, made a bad design choice to limit what they can do with a whole set of clothes. Now were in the present, what they can do with them? Im no expert in this whatsoever but let us use pure logic to inspect it together.
Lets say you want to crop the gloves from the Sea of Sands outfit for example, you already have the design modeling and you fitted it to every body type in the game, I would say that you have done most of the process here.
Now you need to adjust modeling perhaps and make sure it fits on everyone (to me it sounds reasonable), maybe Rare dont want to revisit done costumes because its a headache can we at least stop it in future costumes?I would just like for Rare to know that costumes are completely useless to the majority of players because people want to have individual and customizable pirates. If you want to increase your sales you need to start making individual clothing set pieces.
And yes i would love to keep supporting the emporium by having the option to buy clothing pieces along with the other items that i already buy (NOT costumes).
