I honestly loved my pirate, but I hated her eyebrows so much that I decided to drink a potion. Unfortunately, I'm super picky and had to reroll for hours to find a new pirate, and then that pirate isn't my old pirate, but a new one...
I get not wanting all perfect Barbies and Kens roaming the seas, but would allowing just tiny adjustments like allowing the selection of the default makeup, eyebrows and eye color ruin that? You can already choose scars, so why not that?
I get not wanting to allow someone to choose a blind eye or bone structure, but small things like that which are tiny would help a picky player like me make a decision faster and wouldn't make the seas more conventionally attractive.

they could add those to the vanity chest and let people unlock them like other things
eye color I think is an acceptable customization and stuff like eyebrows and makeups are things people can change without it interfering in the spirit of random pirates imo
the way to do eye color would be to bring in glass eyeballs or painted wooden eyeballs
all of this in the game after the selection not before
@icantgetnosleep related, I did an appearance potion just because my starting pirate had a scar through his right eye. But eyepatches are always left eye, and to me it looked absurd to have an eyepatch over the unscathed eye. because it was part of the Pirate and not a vanity scar, I couldn't change just the scar. So I changed the pirate.

You notice this 99% of the gaming session? I mean the 1% chance you notice is during Emotes or main menu. The rest of your game, you see just the shadow and hands.
You cant see your head in real life 99% of the time.
Does that mean you dont care about what your face\hair looks like?
@redeyesith I think it's the same with makeup too. Some pirates are naturally given dark circles around their eyes in the IPG with no option to remove them. Seems odd to have cosmetics applied to IPG pirates.
