Toxic and deranged voice chat lately

  • Maybe me and my friend where just lucky all the time but lately whenever we meet another crew the voice chat has been pretty... deranged...

In the last few weeks we randomly getting attacked ( they shot first ) and the guy who boards us is just screaming the N word all the time. Another time a brig crew attacks us and uses a squiky voice rambling something. Today random solo slooper screaming something about an alliance in a deranged voice. Told him no kills him and sunk his sloop and still rambling in a deranged voice that he tried to be reasonable and decides to stalk us so we just server hopped....

That is just a few and all im wondering is what the hell has to happen to you to be this deranged in a game ? Do people seriously think they can act like lunatics just because its within a game environment. Is this just suddenly since the latest season or where we indeed so lucky not to meet these kind of people?

Having a bit of fun with voice chat ok but screaming and flaming like wth ?

  • the slur thing is rare when it comes to pvp
they often aren't hot mic'ing unless it's an open crew and they are generally trying to avoid getting reported while they play how they enjoy playing

as far as the cringey voice stuff I don't see the big deal. As long as it's not personal and slur stuff it is what it is. People can be weirdos all they want as long as it doesn't break the rules.

Cringe is pretty common but toxicity is pretty rare unless the pvers start firing off escalation first

We PvE mainly but we always stay cool and don't result in insults. The random guy boarding us and just using the N word all the time is indeed a really rare toxic occasion. But for me if people think i will join their alliance or engage with them when they sound like a psychopath... I rather sink em or server hop and hopefully the other crews there are more sane.

Also I see this deranged and toxic voice chat a lot more on streams as well btw so not just me.

I dunno about all this deranged and psychopath stuff

it's just a shared environment where a lot of younger people play. It should be expected that some are gonna act like goofballs while they play

People aren't required to try to be likable or even pleasant they are just expected to follow a pretty standard set of rules.

Excluding the slur situation imo you are looking to nit pick personalities which you can do but it seems like a rather negative use of time. You can report the serious stuff and just move on from the stuff you don't much care for.

Wow…sunk a guy for having a broken mic and asking for alliance. :p then you decide to leave the server because he stalked you? Hahahahaha

He did not have a broken mic.... no where i said his mic was broken. He was screaming in some persona voice from maybe a movie like i dont know, about creating an alliance. This was btw while he was also on a ramming course so we shot him. To make it clear we are not interested in his alliance and his theatrical voice acting "skills"

Then he went on not interested in loot ? and that he was being reasonable but not anymore . Shoots at our ship but we won in the end send him the GG's and we continued on. And then within 15 minutes we saw him again and since some of us have a job we thought screw it we dont want to spend time on this and went server hopping.

And again i find it pretty disturbing people deem it normal to act way overboard towards other players just because its a game. I am sorry you don't act this way in the streets towards strangers so why do people think its ok to sound demeaning towards others and throw away normal social interaction.
