Micro Stutter/ FPS Hitching

    Good day,

    I am rather new to SoT. I read about ppl having FPS drops in general or just low FPS. Stutter and Hitching is being reported as well but most of them were never resolved I guess.

    System got updated recently.
    11900k XMP2 only change
    3080ti stock
    32GB Ram
    Installed on the 980 Pro

    Other games run well enough but as you can imagine my PC is actually running cooler with this game than anything else.

    Overheating is out of the question and CPU/GPU usage is about 15-20%/40-80% on 2k Max with constant 140 FPS with the normal mini dips to 135 or something like that.

    I can't confirm that lowering graphics did anything at all.

    Does somebody experience anything close to this?

    Version is Windows Store. Drivers up to date. Windows is latest release.

    There definitely seems to be a lot more hitching and stuttering since the update introduced a larger map area and new pve enemies. The lack of optimization is also complicated by poor server performance and generally have contributed to a very unpleasant gaming experience. As far as your rig, you may want to try using the other XMP profile to see if those RAM timings resolves some of the stutters, especially when loading high level detail. If you are running auto voltage on your CPU, then set a max offset of -0.60 mV. If you are running a fixed voltage, then try 1.2 volts and see if your clock is more stable.

    I've been having issues for a couple weeks with stuttering and Fps

    I don't have a beast laptop and she's got a few years on her but it's always got the job done before.

    checked all my driver updates, I don't run stuff in the background, reduced some typical setting stuff. My net is about as it always is.

    I guess my issue is probably heating but when I started having issues is when a lot of these threads started popping up so I dunno. All the tools to check stuff and process info and that sorta thing seem to all be alright so I guess this piratical pandemic escapism machine is on her last peg leg. It's better to burn out than to fade away I suppose.

    I've had enough of it though so I'm Tim the Tool Man'n a shop vac to ultra blow and I'm goin' in.

    I am having similar issues. Game plays at 120-144fps at all times but occasionally when running around I get random stuttering and fps drops to 70ish. Settings are mythical, I tried legendary but it is still happening. I played with a gtx 1070 before at rare settings and had no issues.

    i7-10700k
    RTX 3080
    32 GB ram

    Any ideas what's wrong? Is it the GPU or is it the game? I find it a weird coincidence that the issue started as soon as I upgraded the 1070 to a 3080. Is the game not optimized yet for the 3000 series GPU's?
