This update I've been working on my animal commendations and have seen a new glitch. It's been several months so I'm not sure when it came about but at least in this patch the animals I catch can change colors usually after I leave them on the ship.
I haven't tested yet if I they still count as their original color but it's incredibly frustrating. It usually seems to happen when I get far enough away from my ship that they are perhaps "reloading" but it has also happened while I am still on the same island and just going across the island to catch another animal.
My friend also had the glitch happen in his client, on one occasion the animals changed color for him but remained their original color for me so we just made sure I turned them in.
Please fix this, animal voyages are already tedious but they are much worse when you have to re catch the same animal multiple times.
