Lest we forget. The main crux of a solid No to a PVE anything thread was because the game design is PvEvP. And the new podcast clearly says they have no intention of making a PvE server.
But they went ahead and made the biggest year addition content PvE only.
So, no PVE server then? hmmm
And say what you want. Speculate all you want. That is the facts. They could have easily kept to the PvEvP formula using the PoTC franchise but decided to keep the unknown threat of other players out of the experience.
Nah, this series of tales is much more cinematic, required instancing, has npcs, special mechanics. Tales should always have been separated, in this case they also most likely didn't want to hear any more crying on the PVE-only side of the pond.
You can harp all you want about (its only 5 tall tales) etc etc. The fact of the matter is its going to bring in revenue. Those of us that are for PvE servers can see the writing on the wall that there are many people that dont want to play the game as is and would prefer what Rare has already made. Thats the bottom line.
You can have all the delusions you want, at best you might get another series of instanced tales but it still won't be PVE servers. People will do the tales a few times and get bored, as always. People whine about having to do a tale 5 times to get a reward, how long will it last this time?
What do you think they are going to do when they see more dollar signs go up for this?? hmmmmm
Make another few PVE tales for you to enjoy in safety while also adding plenty of content to the main game?
So, case closed.
Rare, ultimately, listened and gave the biggest year to the PvE crowd.
Yup, case closed indeed, you got your PVE space, you can stop whining and stirring the same old debate again.
You can remember this as the day you almost got PVE servers :)
