trying to find the perfect pirate is hard

  • I am playing sea of thieves for over a year now and it is still my favorite game... But i can't find a charackter that i like. I have bought the special potion from the pirate emporuim a couple times now, and i have spend alot of hours trying to find a pirate i like. I did find a nice pirate ( in a game picture from sea of thieves charackter development ) but even though i cannot find that pirate when i use the potion.

It would be so nice if you can just customize you're pirate and that all pirates aren't premade.

  • @cpn-fish the point of the IPG is so that the pirates are all different. This is a design choice to force people into different skins.

I love my pirate, took me 5 minutes to find a few years ago.

He's missing some teeth, its probably from the shovel that squished his nose. He's got green eyes and a goofy smile.

  • When in doubt pick the 450 pound whopper with extra cheese
throw on a mustache that finds an exquisite blend of style between Kurt Russell and Sam Eliott.
Throw a little face paint on and some cotton candy popcorn hair so you look like the clown from Spawn
You can don a dress or a skirt to let them know what you're working with.

The key is to walk around with a banana in your hand slowly or run laps around the deck as fast as you can to really entertain the crew

This chaotic concoction of eccentricity is known as the joybringer. Everyone that sees you will leave happier than when they arrived.

  • You can customize your pirate. Outfits are here for that purpose.

You shouldn’t really focus on the “perfect” pirate appearance. Your not going to see him 99% of the time unless emoting.

  • just the pain of rng, it would be cool to see a proper character creator so u can look how u want instead of a çlose enough' character but for the meantime chose the closest to wut ur looking for and make the most of it

  • @burnbacon hmm that is your opinion but many players wants to design their character the way they want.

Now, i fully support the randomizer because its always nice to see all the unique players and it really feels like no one looks the same, but a way to help us a bit is by making some kind of preferences like body gender and skin.

  • Don't try to find the perfect pirate. Try to find an interesting pirate.

  • My character isnt the greatest looking but what makes my character decent is the cosmetics that i can mix and match and different hairystlyes can really change the look!

  • When SoT launched, I started with a character that just didn't click with me.
I sacked him after the second day for a toon that still resonates with me today.

RNG favored me in about twenty minutes with a scruffy, rice and fish eating, Pacific Island voyager.
Slanted eyes, one is glass. Sloped asian face with a wide trollish grin.

  • I actually love the IPG and wish more multiplayer games had similar character creation, perhaps with some basic toggles (male/female, skin, weight, etc)

  • @neon-ic0n like thats what i mean... not that you can create them as you want but that you can indicate certain things for example only men, or only skinny people ... etc. while searching for a new pirate.
