Get Obsidian Drum...

  • ... for playing the game between tomorrow 10am GMT and February 10th 10am GMT...

I already have that drum and it's pretty nice! So don't miss out!

Also, REMINDER, as the tweet alludes to, don't forget Twitch Drops for the Gilded Phoenix set starting tomorrow as well!

    The order will be....
    Feb 5th - Banjo
    Feb 6th - Drum
    Feb 7th - Speaking Trumpet
    Feb 8th - Concertina
    Feb 9th - Hurdy Gurdy

    1. You don't need to be signed into Twitter to view the linked tweet.
    2. I pretty much summarised it above the link anyway, just play the game between Feb 5th (10am GMT) and Feb 10th (10am GMT) and you will unlock the Obsidian Drum.

The rest of the post was about the Twitch Drops which are also running for those days.

  • @realstyli Same here, already go it but cudos to you for doing the admins job once again!

I really wish they wouldn't split the Twitch drop set into one item per day. It's so easy to forget one day or be too busy to turn on a stream.

It should be all 6 items for one single drop that is available from the 5th to the 9th, not each item separately available only for one day... I don't suppose I should complain too much about free stuff though.

I'll get them all like I did the Frozen Horizon set, but I've had to set a daily reminder for it lol.

  • @chronodusk I agree, I only wanted the Frozen Horizon beard and it's the only drop I missed from the set. I had more pressing matters to attend to in my life and going on to twitch that one day slipped my mind. I did get every other piece to the set though.

Definitely sucks when you miss a piece of the set, but I understand it is free and just a cosmetic so it isn't a big deal. However, you can't help but feel bummed out to miss an item you actually wanted.

I'd rather watch an hour or two of twitch in one setting to unlock all the items than remembering to view it each day.

  • @chronodusk

That would benefit viewers, yes, but Twitch Drops are a marketing tool. In the end, they're intended to boost a game's popularity on Twitch and make it "trend" more. We just get some items as compensation for participating in that.

At least they have improved them over time and they are a lot clearer now whether you've unlocked them (you just need to remember to claim them afterwards). And the reduction to 20 mins makes it a lot easier to do over the 24 hour period.

  • @realstyli oh Thanks for the info
