Hunters Call Update - Secrets Of The Deep Sea

  • Hunters Call Update: Secrets Of The Deep Sea Suggestion

This post is a call for an update of The Hunters Call company. The Hunters Call needs a finishing touch, in order of making it more engaging and interesting. Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding, I do not think fishing should be removed or changed, the fishing system in Sea Of Thieves is fantastic, and does not need an update. I am only fishing for an update of the Hunters Call.

    Hunters Call Voyages

A Hunt For The Mighty Megaladon
I like fighting a Megaladon, even though it is never The Shrouded Ghost. However, I think the Megaladon would be perfect as a part of a Hunters Call voyage. What do I mean by that? Well. I believe that it would be cool if you could go on a Megaladon Hunter Voyage. You start the Voyage by buying it on a Seapost and vote on the voyage on the ship as normal. When you start the voyage you get a piece of paper on your quest-wheel, like always. On the paper will be a location of a Megaladon sighting somewhere on the Sea Of Thieves. It could be a report from Sudds on The North Star Seapost, who claims to have seen a huge shark swimming around the seapost, or Burnin' Tony who saw a ship with some of his goods getting attacked by a Megaladon or... Well, I bet you get the point. Then you can be lucky that the megaladon is still there, or otherwise the NPC can tell you which direction it swam, and then you just follow its trail of terror around the Sea Of Thieves until you suddenly feel the chills and hear the roar of the mighty megaladon, whose only goal is to destroy you. Then you fight it, and hopefully kill it or you face the horrifying consequences of your disission to hunt a giant vicious beast...

Moving The Animal Voyages from Merchant alliance to Hunters Call

Now that Merchant alliance is getting an update very soon that gives them a new kind of voyage, I think it is time to let Hunters Call handle the wild animals on the Sea of Thieves. By that I mean the the Voyages that you can buy from the Merchant Alliance where you catch different kinds of Chickens, Pigs and Snakes and gives them to the Merchant alliance should be given to the Hunters Call instead, because... They are hunters... They hunt animals...

    A Hunters Call Emissary

I think this is pretty self-explanatory, but I will explain it anyways (Just because I have nothing better to do :( )

A Hunters Call Emissary should work like any other emissary; You start it at a seapost, and then you either fish or completes some of the previously mentioned voyages to get emissary progress. Then when you reach grade V you just... Ehm... Well, I didn't really realize that there should be an Emissary quest before I wrote the previous sentence, so I will let the forum come with some suggestions to it, because I am out of ideas.

  • I’m liking this idea despite my slight hated towards the factions.
I have a idea for the emissary.

Once you reach grade 5 not only you get an 2.5 multiplayer but you are rewarded an increased chance of finding rare fish and have 100% chance of catching an rare fish in certain locations which will be provide by the nearest hunter call member by giving you “map of the hunter”

This special map allow you to find some of the rare fish in four different locations 5 in each location and to find these locations will require your knowledge of sea.

by the end of this emissary voyage you would have fished up 20 rare fish and after that you will be given one last map but this map will only be given to pirate legends or those who has defeated the Original Hungering one because the company value your safety and do not trust you to take on a beast of vengeance. As this voyage will lead you on an journey to track down the original the Hungering one.

    THE RETURN OF HUNGERING ONE

Once you reach the last known locations you will be given a note to let you know that found the location and tell you to play “Summon the megalodon”

Once the scarred Hungering one emerge from the depths, the battle begins and you better hope that you bought some kegs for the fight as the beast is just as strong as it was before but only slightly slower and weaker and now has an weak spot to hit to deal extra damage to the shark.

Once the meg is defeated, it will vomit out dozens of fish all over your ship and blind you if caught outside on the deck and makes an quick escape to the depths, the voyage ends and you have an decent haul of fish, gems and some treacherous plunder items.

  • Nothing should ever be a 100% chance of finding rare fish, this is mostly due to the ideal of "taking away from the rare achievements" you wouldn't want Rare to just have the Shrouded Ghost spawn as often as the Hungering One, why? Because the title loses it's exclusivity.
