Why is it even a thing? I fighted a Real player ship and sunk him 15-20 min ago, Got some serious amount of loot, I was on my way to an outpost and out of nowhere, 2 skeleton galleons appeared from my right and my left, and they started shooting special cannonballs which make me dance, and they sunk me because I could not move most of the time, even if I was able to move, They were shooting so rapid, lowering my anchor and breaking my sail. So I lost everything I have to 2 skeleton galleons. I did not have a chance to evade or fight. I do not get mad when someone sunks my ship, because %99.9 of the time, you have a chance to fight. But that was most stupid thing that happened. I did nothing to trigger something like that, and I am saying it again, I HAD NO CHANCE TO DO ANYTHING. This is so unnecessary. Please at least reduce amount of ships. 2 galleons on a solo-sloop is too cruel.
Random Skeleton Ships Spawn Without any Reason and Didn't give me a chance to fight back
@enceladustr , I am pretty sure you entered a skeleton fleet event, designated by a cloud in the sky. It is a world event that you need to avoid if you don't want to do the fleet event.
It sounds like you missed the large ship cloud in the middle of the sky that would have told you that you were sailing into the middle of the skeleton fleet. I've done that by accident. Especially around Reaper's Hideout. The fleet was never designed for a solo sloop to take on. Skilled players can do it with a little luck, but it is meant for larger crews. You can easily avoid it as a solo player by avoiding the ship cloud in the sky.
that would be because you entered the activation area of a skeleton fleet, can be distinguished by the big, flashing galleon shaped cloud in the sky.
you will know that you have entered one of these because music will start playing and a banner ingame will pop up (if you haven't tuent the banners off via settings) , after these two factors you will have 10-20 seconds to adjust angle to avoid it, if not two or more ships will spawn and follow you until you either sink them, sink yourself or get out of the area.@enceladustr as my previous commentators said...that was probably the skeleton ship raid you entered, because if a skellie ship spawns on you, it's always just one of them, on a sloop a skellie sloop only! If there are two ships it's the ship raid...so better watch out where you're sailing at...
