Signal Flare Mortars

I think it would be great to have signal flare mortars on the decks of each of the ships.
Some of me maties really want flare guns or flare cannon balls for celebrations... errrr I mean signaling other ships. I think having them would be awesome, but I dont think they should be added in a way that disrupts combat as it is. I.E. dont go for a flare gun or special cannon balls. However a mortar on the back rail of the ship would be great. This would also introduce another place for additional cosmetics in the form of fireworks.
