So something I've been confused about is the type of loot that counts for the challenges. I know one of them only counts Chests but the others are labelled with Treasure Items so that would mean any type of loot?
Is it only Treasure Chests for those challenges, or is any loot eligible (i.e. skulls and what not).
EDIT:
Skulls, Gems and Cargo counts towards it, just asked a crew to take my loot off me and apparently it does count.
Now just need 41 loot left to give.
Yeah the 5 chests thing is a daily challenge. Thanks for clarifying how the 50 treasure items work.
Also were you in an alliance when you sold the treasure items? I was swapping loot with someone and they kept saying you can’t be in an alliance or it won’t count towards the challenge. I kept telling them it’s probably not true but they wouldn’t listen.

Nope, I wasn't in an alliance when I sold the treasure items. It will still count, regardless if you're in an alliance or not.

We gather 50 pieces of loot (all kinds of loot)
Forced an enemy into our alliance and made them sell our loot or get sunk.
While being in alliance it payed us and gained the commendation.
@foxywiththemoxy gave away 37 pieces of chests, artifacts and some gems...thought it's only goodhoarder stuff, as the unlockable stuff are all goldhoarder items

Oh no, I was just telling @An-Xbox-Dude that I wasn't in an alliance when I did the loot thing. I probably should have worded it a bit better but I meant that you didn't need to be in an alliance as it counts regardless if you're in one or not.

My crew left at least 20 skulls, merchant crates, and gold hoarder items on a dock. we got someone to go over and sell it all.
Only 7 of the things we left counted towards our 50 to give away.
I had this same issue last night I think. Gave some new father/son crew a bunch of skulls and crates and only 4 counted so unless they went to an outpost and only cashed in 4 of the items over a period of half an hour or more than something isn't registering.
Some of it was found loot, and some were skulls from an Order of Souls mission so I wonder if it only counts stuff that you've pulled from a voyage and not floating loot?
