I want to bring light to a situation. This is for the PvP'ers. We are always having to play defense on subject matters without getting a chance to address the rampant hypocrisy against our community so I want to ask everyone.
PvE'ers call us toxic, so I'm asking, how often in your experience are PvE'ers the ones initiating the toxic confrontation??
Majority of the time when I attack a ship, I'm called toxic and among other expletive type names. I rarely if ever initiate the confrontation on the mic. I just roll in, attack, sink, take loot.
How many of you actually run into PvE'ers saying vulgar things into the mic without any provocation?? The only thing you did was attack their ship and they are on the mic cussing you out for it??
EDIT The term toxicity has a loose meaning. Honestly I don't consider things toxic unless it involves children and even then there are some other criteria.
What is considered toxic and what isn't is a personal preference. This thread is just to bring to light that the PvE'ers keep saying its the PvP'ers but through my experience and players that I know its always the PvE'ers that instigate and its rarely us. In our experiences anyways.
Its firmly believed or directly implied that the toxicity comes ONLY from PvP'ers and that any changes or steps taken to combat toxic behavior is pointed at the PvP'ers. So if someone is being toxic everyone automatically associates the behavior with a PvP player.
I don't like that its perceived that we are the SOLE creators of a toxic environment and the PvE'ers are helpless pure souls that would never say a negative thing about anyone's mother.
I like the rest of you know its comes from both sides, for me its mainly from PvE'ers. However this thread is just to shed some light that PvE'ers can be sore losers and they get on the mic or chat and throw racial slurs or comments of sexual conquests with parental figures or wish ill will towards the attackers health or family.
I want to knock them off their high horse and clear our names a little bit.
