Reached Pirate Legend completely solo.

    Been playing since basically launch and decided to challenge myself to reach PL completely solo.
    No crew-mates, no alliances, just me and my sloop and every bit of gold and rep earned by my own two hands.

    Took a while but that was mainly to taking some really long breaks from the game. Emissaries gave a big boost to the last 10 levels or so.

    Don't know if anyone else has done this before? I would be surprised if I was the first given how long I took but I couldn't find anyone saying they did. Not sure now if I should stay solo or finally play with some friends.

    I'm sure alot have. But I always can respect a solo slooper. Especially ones who did athena quests solo. Congrats

    You've collected the gold and gained the glory now you have a mere 500 skelly ships to solo sink in order to become the legend of the sea of thieves

    @ice-bllaze Congratulations! Awesome job! You certainly took a difficult path to PL. You should consider working with other players to get a feel for the game in a larger crew. It will be hard to do because you are not used to depending on others for anything. Also, some things will take longer to accomplish on larger ships than you are used to. Try using Discord or LFG on XBL to find groups. Don't use the open crew option unless you just want to feel anger and frustration as some random crew memeber jumps around your deck flinging firebombs all over the place, drops your anchor, eats all the food, and tries their hardest to explode kegs on deck.

    @ice-bllaze now that you are pirate legend, if you attempt to get the legendary cannons solo, I would recommend highly against it! haha

    I am at 476/500 skelly ships sunk and 80% of it was solo. Absolutely frustrating. Even one friend makes all the difference in your adventures so I highly suggest looking for a group or at the very least, find one friend!

    Well done, man, soloopin' ain't easy

    I solo way more now but I think when I reached PL it was about 50-60% of my gameplay. Certainly no easy feat so congrats and kudos.

    Hello Sir , i do not know if you are the only one who has done it this way , Congratulations by the way for this achievement , but allthough you know your Sloops's behaviour inside out ,is it not time to go on the bigger ships? To meet people and have Adventures with them...

    Sure i know you are an one man army by now , and that Solo Slooping let you feel Sea of Thieves in a more tranquil but also more focussed way but ... you also have missed much... But it's never too late , come on man , jump on a ship , share your tales and experiences with them , make them better Pirates , but also grant yourself a new way of playing , Sir . A way where possible Friendship can stream forward from... i can't imagine how lonesome it must have been sometimes to sail alone against the world ...

    i am more than certain that several Pirates are looking forward to meet a Solo Legend , much can be learned from them . And , oooh , the Tales you can tell us ... i hope to read a few of those in the times that come , because i'm sure that you will have a tale or two to tell when you come back...

    Congrats, and +1 to PL fully solo slooper here.

    I have been playing since launch and achieved it earlier this year, mainly due to taking a long break in the middle.
    Did most of my leveling (most factions up to 30+) early days when it was a much harder grind, could be achieved a lot faster now with all the additional ways of leveling factions inc. emissaries etc. It was certainly much quicker going 40-50 after the break.

    This is simply my preferred way of playing. Much more focused on enjoying the journey than the goal.

    I must be a sucker for punishment.

    Congratulations, I have been here on and off from the start playing solo often or crewing up with my Son who started at a very young age, so up until fairly recently it was like being solo anyway. I think I've been in five alliances in that time with only one being noticeably profitable. I finally reached Pirate Legend last night and honestly I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way.

    I often see posts about how PL is so easy to get therefore it is meaningless, which if that is your only goal I can see how you could grind it out in a relatively short amount of time. It was always secondary to me. My goal was always looking for adventure, often without a plan. The title to me is a reminder of the adventures I've had up to this point. Wear the title with pride.

    You are far from the first to do so, I myself have effectively done this a year ago. Though it wasn't 100% solo it was easily 98-99% done that way, 99% of the time on a sloop, never on a galleon (but have played a few sessions on a brig with 2 friends, and that was a very, very small amount (less than 5 again)) and less than a literal handful of alliances in that time...and all before the Emissary system being introduced and the regular introduction of double gold weekends. In fact I never had a second crew mate until I was practically at Legend as my former roommate (and first mate) didn't start the game until I was nearly there myself, just after the Anniversary update (and I also had a brief hiatus in there, about 1-2 months while some bugs were being worked out). Before he started I only had two instances where I had another in my crew (not counting the first week when joining a random crew ended up with an immediate brig, which turned me off on the "feature" and led to my solo play).

    But still congratulations on the feat and welcome to the club.

    @ice-bllaze congratulations on achieving your goal, you aren't the first person but I bet you are part of a small group overall (I ain't part of it).

    Whether to stay solo or play with others, do what makes it enjoyable for you... be the pirate you want to be.
