Amount of Time before leaving an alliance/ Balancing

  • Can you please add a amount of time to leave a alliance after you joined, because some people are just trolling around joining your alliance and if you want to go give your stuff to an outpost they are just leaving the alliance and destroy everything you grabbed for more than 2 hours.

  • @jatulp never trust a pirate. alliances are meant to be betrayed.

  • Alliance does not mean PvE squad nor should it. Never trust another crew. Even in an alliance I will never let another crew aboard my ship, no way to tell what they might do.

Same goes with positioning. Don’t park and let another ship have cannons on your ship without you also having a firing position at the least. Preferably I would always reposition in front of or behind an ally ship to ensure no surprises.

Yesterday (not in an alliance) I helped a sloop who was being chased by a galleon. We sank the galleon together, then I attacked the sloop. I figured two chances at treasure was better than none.

  • Just because you make them wait to leave an alliance doesn't mean they won't still betray you before that time is up.

    1. Alliance are shaky at best, which is the intent of them. You get a 50% reward for what Alliance members cash in, but 100% of what you cash in. So they may be tempted to take all that loot themselves rather than only get a 50% reward from what you go cash in. Risk and reward, you could have beaten them and then they lose it all.

    2. As the title mentions balancing, I'd note that based on point #1 it sounds like this is exactly balanced the way they were hoping for when making the system.

So, good job community, problem already solved.
