I'm tired of getting griefed when I don't even have any loot. I can be on my way to start a quest and still get sunk by other players. This game absolutely needs PvE servers and it would attract a larger player base. Don't get me wrong I love PvP but the PC community is beyond toxic. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can't even do 2 quests without a ship locking onto me. Congrats you made 3k in skulls and I uninstall the game. I guess that's what players want. I play solos and there's not much you can do when you park your ship and someone starts cannonballing it while you're on the island, or when there's multiple players for that matter. When I'm playing on console I rarely run into people trying to board my ship even after multiple runs. I can last HOURS on console where as I can hardly last 10 minutes on PC. Everyone makes B lines for ships and I'm over it. I can be a fresh spawn JUST LEAVING the outpost and still get sunk by other ships. On top of that everyone is always quick to tell you how bad you are. Congratulations toxic players, you won, I'll uninstall the game to never play again.
PC players are beyond toxic

Opt-out. Problem solved.
Are you saying opt out of PC servers? If so, that doesn't solve the problem. Add PvE servers. Problem solved.

In what way doesn't it? If you find Pc players as the root of the problem, then how does not playing with them not solve the issue? Xbox players are no more or less toxic than Pc players, its delusional to think otherwise. At the end of the day, we are all people playing a video game. We all have the same propensity of being horrible to each other regardless of the system in which we game on.

Because I enjoy the higher resolution and frame rates on PC. In my experience console and PC lobbies are completely different. Just because you've had one experience doesn't mean I haven't had another. Calling someone delusional just makes you part of the problem. There's no reason this game can't have PvE AND PvP servers. There's really no argument. I guess the thought of PvE servers just ruins your day. Learn to think about what perception is, when you're talking to other people.
Funny that a narcissist would use the meme bye Felicia.
Calling someone delusional just makes you part of the problem.
Have you played a single Call of Duty game? You can't honestly sit here and tell me that Call of Duty on Xbox is a calm non-toxic environment filled with delightful respectful people.
Calling me narcissistic is irrelevent here, you can't lump an entire demographic of people as toxic when the only difference between their counterpart is the equipment they choose to game on. Delusional is a fitting word here.

Plenty, the biggest reason is the developers stated no on the matter. Not just once, twice, even thrice, but numerous times including recent discussions. If the company has no desire or need to implement a change of this magniture that is all the reason they need. No company is required to cave to people who weren't interested in their game from the start.
Calling PC players "toxic" is inflammatory and unproductive. If a ship attacks you, they are not "toxic" and they are not "griefing" you. They're playing the game as intended. Your post is dripping with toxicity. You're supposed to be a good sport in both winning and losing.
I'm in a crew of older women. If you attack us, we'll sink you. If you look like you might attack us, we'll sink you. If you are someplace we need to be, or if we think you have something we want, we'll sink you. If you look suspicious in any way, we'll sink you. We might even sink you just because we feel like it.
We are not griefers. Not one of us has a toxic bone in her body. We're perfectly respectable pirates. If you're nice to us, we'll likely be nice in return. But if we attack you, kill you, sink your ship, and steal your loot...no hard feelings. Better luck next time. This is the game you purchased.
