Hello,
I've posted about the problem I am having in the Sea of Thieves support website. The automated response I received told me to try things I already said I tried. I checked again and the problem still persists. Here is a copy paste of the problem.
"Voice chat in Sea of Thieves was working previously, but for some reason I have not been able to voice chat in-game with push to talk turned on or off, nor am I able to hear other players (friend next to me was able to hear a random player say he was friendly while I could not).
I have tried:
Unplugging and plugging my microphone back in multiple times.
Using another microphone.
Verifying the integrity of the game cache (steam version).
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
Making sure I was using the correct push to talk button when push to talk was enabled, and then disabling push to talk.
Restarting the windows audio service.
Uninstalling my audio drivers and reinstalling them.
Attempting to update the audio drivers, to which Windows 10 informs me they are up to date.
Making sure my privacy settings in windows were correct (they were).
Restarting my computer.
Everything else the Windows 10 Audio&Chat help page suggested.
In Windows 10 privacy settings, underneath "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone," it appears as though the last time "Sea of Thieves" was accessed, was 7/30/2020 at 8:06:26 PM.
The current time and date at which I am typing is 7/31/2020 at 6:18 AM."
