Okay - Just, hear me out, okay? So I think, if it were just a brief event, it would be super worth it, for only April 1st. Have an event which introduces a new cosmetic to one of the famed enemies in the world - the Megalodon. Pirates, sailing the Sea of Thieves, minding their own business, when suddenly, the Megalodon rears it's ugly head, only to show, not one, not two, but FOUR big Googly eyes attached to the Megalodon's own four eyes. Assuming that these pirates can defeat said threat within the single day of April Fool's day, they unlock a new curse - the Curse of the Googly Eyes. Where your pirate's eyes are replaced with Googly Eyes. What if you have an eye patch? It will still cover one of your Googly eyes.
To top it off - as an extra fun paid cosmetic for the event on the ancient coin store - a Stormfish! What is so special about a Stormfish? It could be a cosmetic, fully jiggle-physics enabled, for your cutlass! Which, upon hitting an opponent, did not make a sword clash sound, but an audible and satisfying fish-fleshy 'SLAP' sound.
Is this a serious suggestion? Well, no, not terribly. But, I absolutely had to get this out there.
