Hey there pals, hope you're having a nice day!
I'm seeking for help in this forum because I couldn't find a solution in google yet and my IT skills couldn't handle this either. I'm having, as the title says, a problem with dual screens.
The problem is that when I launch SoT it opens up in the secondary screen (1366x768-60Hz) and when I try to move it to the main screen (1920x1080-144Hz) using Win+Shift+LeftArrow the game window stays in the secondary screen's resolution and locked on the top left corner of the screen, and it stays the same if I try to change the ingame resolution from the video settings menu.
Y'all might be wondering "Why dont you use Alt+Enter to change it to fullscreen and drag it to the main screen?" Already tried pals, the only thing I get by doing this is that the game changes to Windowmode and it just "minimizes" to never pop up again... Cant even Alt+Enter on it because it does nothing, not even showing on the secondary screen again. To revert that I had to go to the game config file (located in "%localappdata%\Athena\Saved\Config\WindowsClient") and modify the GameUserSettings.ini where there's a True/False parameter called "Fullscreen". So no, Alt+Entering is not going to solve any problems for me...
I have had come across a temporal solution for this by accessing to my Nvidia control panel and disabling and enabling the secondary screen, this is the only way I've found yet to solve the issue temporally, but it's annoying to do so every time I start the game 😤
By the way I have the game on Steam and on XboxLive (paid the beta pass), and in the Xbox version I had no problems at all, but I bought the Steam version because I have some problems with the Xbox interface when receiving and sending invites and I quite dont want to reinstall Windows to fix that issue (and yes, I reinstalled the XboxLive app from the installer provided by MS via MSStore and downloading it from the page and from the Powershell console), so I'm using the Steam version of the game.
I'm using a Nvidia GTX1660Ti by the way, in a 64b OS (Win10 of course).
So if anyone has this same problem or has found a permanent fix for this I'm glad you'd join this thread!
Thanks for reading this and salutes, fellow pirates!
P.S.: I attached some screenshots to get a better understandment!
