First: ritual skull stash voyages are BROKEN. The patch notes say that you were able to buy them one a month, that does not work and (for me, who bought it more than a month ago) I'm currently unable to buy it. Second, one a month is too little resulting in f
FoTD being rarer and thus making them even rarer becouse the few you find are precious, basically making a Pvp encounter almost certain every time you do one, and so making them not worth it (all the ritual skull hunting, light hunting and the fort itself). Right now it is not balanced and FoTDs are extremely rare, making Pvp hungry players, like me, bored.
Ritual skulls
@illicitline45
I agree, I don't know why they added a month long timer for the ritual skull, FOTD's were already on a decline, now there are very scarce. I'm sure they had a reason, maybe it was for the emissary system, they were worried you could stack FOTD 5 times without and get all the supplies you need in 35 minutes.I do wish they added the ritual skull back to at MOST once a day, maybe increase the cost of a ritual skull to 150 doubloons if they're worried that people are abusing it by digging up 5 then doing FOTD. But again, I'm sure they had a reason for why they did it, I just don't know why.

They are literally everywhere, if you have to go around getting the lights, you are bound to find one while getting said lights.
Honestly, ya'll just sound lazy at this point. God forbid a little effort is expended to start the event that gives the highest payout.
I stole a FOTD last night, the discord is always looking for crew to do them and I see plenty of them on streams for people searching them out. I don't think they are all that rare, but they are also pretty profitable so they shouldn't be too common either.
Ritual skulls aren't all that hard to find and half the time the lights are all already there due to server merging. If the one month lock is broken that should be fixed but I don't see the freebie skull voyage being limited as a problem.
@nabberwar look I don't want these changes for me (also I don't think they are THAT common, you can only get one by sinking a skelly ship and it's not a guaranteed drop). I want these changes becouse finding a FoTD has become too rare, and doing it for new players too dangerous.
@d3adst1ck My crew also stole a FoTD last night, maybe ritual skull stashes are broken just for me and my crew, so now there's more active, but then, when we are half way through, FoTDs will become almost impossible to find by server hopping. The amount should be about 1 every 1/2 days (that you find). Plus it's much more enjoyable stealing them (even if you don't get everything) then doing them.

How noble of you.

That is one location of many. Skeleton fleets drop 3-4 guaranteed. They can also be found in Collector's Chest rewarded for solving an Emergent Skeleton Captain's Skeleton's Orders Riddle Map and Ashen Chests.
I want these changes becouse finding a FoTD has become too rare, and doing it for new players too dangerous.
I don't believe you are this noble paragon you think you are. Ask yourself this question, if you make an event easily accessible, doesn't that make new people more likely to do it?
I think you just want easy FOTD steals mate.
@illicitline45 When they say one per month, it is 1 per update. Exactly like the letters of Recommendations.
@illicitline45 you get ritual skulls from:
-skellie ship raid (at least 4 of them)
-skellie ships (I got almost every 2nd one)
-emergent skellie riddle drops (had almost every collector chest one in it)
-ashen chest (not as often as in the emergent skellie drops)If it's still too less you just seem lazy
And it's one per update
@nabberwar Okay, that's great, we can constantly simp for the developer's perspective if we want, but was there actually a reason for the change?
If I've decided that I want to do the FoD tonight, I don't want to have to chase down a Skeleton Alliance, or hop random islands looking for emergent skeleton captains, ON TOP of finding players that will cooperate in killing me and chasing down a lightning storm ... all to just START an event that someone will inevitably try to steal from me. At that point, if it takes that much setup to do, I'd just rather not do it at all.
I understand it's a high payout, but at this point I'm annoyed that the developers seem to have a knack for coming up with changes that get in my way as a player. I just started to grind my 50 FoDs, and of course they make this change exactly when I decide to work it. Some of us have other games we like to play
(btw signed into the wrong Microsoft account, def not Seafarer lol)

1-You just bumped a 2 year old post. Don't necro threads older than 30 days from the last post as it goes against forum rules.
2-Blame Alliance servers, they would stack dozens of these easily if the change wasn't implemented and are likely the primary cause of it being done.
