Me and friends have just been talking about gold and how we don’t want to just get cosmetics and I get game balance and all but what if you could pay for resources. So we wouldn’t pay so much wasting all our gold but enough to get resources and I think it’s one of the best ways to use gold other then cosmetics.

@shutcapybara114 no resource gathering is what rewards people that stick to a server and those that do not sink, it is part of the game play and shouldn't be replaced by a buy option. It also would mitigate any loss endured if sunk, which is kind of the point. People can come back for revenge, people can come back to try and beat you again... they shouldn't be able to come fully stocked from the start every single time. If they want stock they need to take a moment to gather it, providing the other crew more time to complete their task, get more resources themselves, etc. etc.
Every purchase with gold is cosmetic only, so that the game balance and this includes resources is equal among all players that start out on the server. Whether you are a new or veteran of the game you can be ahead based on the effort you put into that session and how long you have been playing that session.
