I’ve been playing sea of thieves a lot recently and whenever I hop on a game some stuff are blurry for instance, the compass so I can’t see where directions are when I’m not on a ship and I don’t know if this is the same with other curses but the ashen curse is also effected by the magma just being blurry and it is getting really annoying + this also effects the pictures, it makes them look really low quality ( I am playing on console))

I have seen this happen for brief moments, usually the game waiting for textures to load. Rights itself quickly for me on my Xbox One X when it does happen.
Could try a Hard Reset on your console by holding the power button until it shuts down to see if that helps.
If not, Support Ticket.

The Xbox one is a fairly old system, from what I've found the issue is caused due to system heat, so the game reduced texture quality to take stress off of the system.
I'm no expert in computing and certainly not in consoles, but this is what I've found most accurate, cause after my friend suggested idea I made sure to check the temperature of the Xbox and for me it was far too hot for comfort.Incoming thread lock in 3.. 2...
